  1. Anticipating the request for a proper sparring area, the ship groaned for a few seconds. After some vicious trashing about, The Angel Steve finally settled, although now transformed. A improvised ring was now set up in the middle of the ship, with hemp ropes stretching across the masts forming a square. Sandbags dropped out of the sky, some falling suspiciously close to Muggy, other sandbags materialized with ropes, serving as impromptu punching bags. "Oh yeah, I forgot he could do that..." Erine said, cracking a cheeky grin. "It's magic right?" Now the party had an appropriate space to soar, and show off their sick fighting moves.
  2. Oh cool, so like an FPL RP but with actual rules I can understand!
  3. Level 10 meaning guys like Punisher, and Bucky Barnes? Or is level 10 more like Spiderman and Ironfist?
  4. Me me me The levels depend on you Pey, if we're street level we'll probably have to stay within a certain story setting, compared to like Superman level where we might travel across planets or something?
  5. "I'm good at hiding and throwing apples!" Behind the crew, Erine would shout out, jumping up and down to get their attention. "My secret move is to hide behind something, and throw an apple really hard at their heads!" She motioned as if she was throwing something, to emphasize her proficiency in the ability to throw fruit.
  6. "You never do spars and exercises with me, you're stuck fantasizing over the kitchen maid..." Jessamine complained, making herself heard to Corvo for the first time in a week. Despite that she was in fact, only a sword, if you squinted you could almost make out a little pouty face.
  7. Act 2 - Adventures At High Sea It has now been one week since The Angel Steve has left the port of Eastrun. One week of peaceful sailing, the ship being at a relatively fast pace across the southern border of Criorther. The food is bountiful for the group, as there is no lack of fish to catch and cook. Muggy and Farley shared a room together in the Captain's cabin, Corvo and Komi in one of the crew cabins, Clara and Erine in another, and finally Cliff by himself. A quiet morning it has been, the sun shining down on our adventurous bunch. The group are together now, enjoying a breakfast of fish, discussing their next step.
  8. With everyone finally boarded and comfortable, the ship took it's queue and began to lurch forward, the anchor levitating up in the air, coiled itself and returned to it's rest position. The oars began to row, slow at first, but they gradually got faster and faster, before settling into a rhythm. The girl looked at the nervous fish man and broke out in to a charming laughter. "Of course it's a regular occurrence, it is a magic boat after all! Just a tip, never insult A.S, he'll get mad and drop sand on you. And yes, I know most ships are called 'she', but this is a man ship, just ask my poppa!" Erine gave Muggy a playful pat on the shoulder, laughing at her joke. The ship glowed with almost a blindingly blue aura, the sheer amount of magic used to animate this was astonishing! It seems like there truly is nothing money can't buy. As for detecting magic on Erine, nothing happened, could it be that she didn't have any magic? Or simply that she wasn't currently using any magic so the spell couldn't detect it? As the The Angel Steve left the docks and entered open waters, the oars retracted, and the sails opened up. Great mass of white cloth unraveled, and with an audible woosh they settled into place. Propelled forward by the powerful force that is the wind, The Angel Steve glided through the waters, like a hot knife passing through butter. Their second journey had just begun. - END OF ACT 1 -
  9. As Muggy finished his sentence, a bag of sand would materialize near him. The bag of sand proceeded to flop over, menacingly. It is said that items that are animated by magic take on certain personalities, could this be one of those examples?
  10. At the docks sat the ship which the team was to use to cross the desert straits, the ship gave off a magical aura, it seemed that Oswulf was correct the ship was almost entirely self navigated. Made of cedar and oak, the ship stood proud. Although it was not the biggest ship at the docks, it was enough to serve their purpose. If all goes well, the trio from Eastrun to Essealis should not take more than 30 days, the Wave Reader from the docks informs us that the sea is calm, and should remain calm for a fortnight. Onboard the ship however, it seemed like it was bigger than what it looked on the outside. The captain's cabin was located on the deck, a spacious room for Muggy. Below deck was the rest of the chambers, the party will have to share rooms of 2 it seemed. Fishing tools such as rods and nets adorned the sides of the ship, it seems food would consist of mostly what they caught. The ship also had harpoons and a badass cannon. Oswulf marked the location of Essealis on the maps, and traced what would seem the fastest trail. Cut through the islands that divided Criorther from the Djansaima Sands, and it was a straight shot.
  11. Oswulf eyed him carefully, thinking closely of what this fishy fellow's true intentions were. Shaking his head, he sighed. "Alright then, just be careful lads. The sea is not a forgiving lover, you will face many dangers, 'ah cannot stress that enough. You'll find 'er docked right offa the port, ask the dock master for The Angle Steve, that be the ship. 'Tis a small vessel, enchanted by magic to do mosta' the crew work fer ya. All ye have to do is navigate 'er towards where ye want 'er to go, the magic will take care of the rest." Walking back to his cart, Oswulf pulled out a pack, and gave it to his daughter Erine. Whispering a few words of encouragement. The pair walked back over to the group, Erine suddenly bowing to them. "My name is Erine Clarillard, I entrust my life to you. Whatever I may do the help, dont be afraid to ask!" Putting her hands together, she looks up at the party, her eyes a window into her gentle soul.
  12. Oswulf the Merchant, a heavy set fellow from the city of Pinegulf stood up straight. He was a proud man, who considered himself above the need to ask for help, however this was something he could not handle alone. He observed the party walking up to him and introducing themselves. "Aye, you lot already know who I am. Let's get this ovah wit'. See, I cannot be at two place at once, on one hand I 'ave my lovely daughter Erine, and on the other hand I 'ave this large cargo I need to send to Sterulia. One destination Is towards the far west, the otha' crossing the Lost Sea." Oswulf digs through his many velvet pockets, and finally locates what he was looking for. A single scroll, sealed with a wax seal bearing his family emblem. "This 'ere letter is for mah brother, he is at Essealis the elven city. Ain't much like the place mahself, but my brother's a good man. Ah realize it's a wee bit of a travel crossing the nation, so 'ave loandled Drondos one of me ships. Drondos tells me that the fish feller is sea worthy, I'll leave it in yer hands. If ye mess it up, it's coming outta yer pay." He tosses the scroll to Muggy, and the key to the captain's quarters. "This is my daughter, Erine. She's a quiet lass she is, but she knows the boat like the back of 'er hand. If one single hair on the back of 'er head is missin', you can ferget about the pay." From behind Oswulf, nervously steps out Erine, the daughter. There's something enthralling about her, perhaps it's a feeling of delight or perhaps it's simply her friendly demeanor. But nonetheless, people tend to subtly ignore her, while learning as much about her as possible. "Pleasure to meet you all, my name is Erine. I trust I'll be safe in your hands." A warm smile compliments her words, a sense of calm radiating from her.
  13. OOC: It's on the sign up sheet https://www.electricferret.com/forum/index.php?/topic/32711-tales-of-belleterra-adventurers-guild/ Easier that way so I can keep track hehe
  14. OOC: If you wasted your cash on anything, update your character bios in the other thread. IC: Ding Dong...Ding Dong...Ding Dong The clocktower struck noon, signalling the time for Squad C to gather their supplies have passed. Drondos had informed them that the merchant they were supposed to meet would be waiting for them at the entrance of Eastrun, here they would find him and his daughter.
  15. "Ah, the second mission it is, you will find the girl's father at the main gate in about two hours, do what you just until then." Witha wave of his hand, Drondos dismissed the party. They now have two hours to prepare. OOC: Do whatever you want for your next post guys. If you wanna go shopping for items knock yourselves out. Everyone has 5 GP and 5 SP, you have be proficienct in a tool to use it. https://www.dndbeyond.com/equipment
  16. "Please stop hitting on the maid Corvo, it's weird. As for your question, consider the fire matter taken care for, I'll send Squad B to investigate, they're more magically inclined."
  17. Think it's too late now buddy I think... There used to be an option on the same page where you drafted your team but it's missing now... I'm assuming once the team is accepted, you can't change the name because....it'll mess with the system?
  18. Drondos snickered, amused at his fishy friend. "Well now my fish boy, I'm across you are not high enough ranked in the guild to attempt anything higher than bronze ranked requests. Worry not, as you advance you will be able to accept missions for higher ranks, and higher danger. Just now before you arrived Squad A and their captain Enible the noble paladin just accepted a gold ranked mission, you will get there " He reached into his desk, fumbling around locating something. "Fine, fine, take the maid with you if you must. I suppose I'll just have to clean the guild up myself. Darn youngsters..." After a few moments of fiddling, he was able to locate the requests for which he searched. "Ah, here we are! Squad C, you are in luck as there two requests from which you can select one to complete. They are both similar and ranked and similarly rewarding..." "The first, made by one of our guild members, ex-adventurer Kraster Dinkleton seeks a company of adventurers to escort a valued family heirloom safely to the town of Erwick. The town is not far, and I will be able to mark it on your maps if accepted." He pulled out a second form. "Another escort request, the cargo this time being a human. An merchant named Oswulf seeks a company of adventurers to escort his daughter safely to the elven city of Essealis. The mission will be completed once she is safely in the hands of Uncle Rythan, who is currently residing at an inn there." Drondos studied the group carefully, his face conveying no emotion. "So, what so you decide?"
  19. Drondos snaps his fingers and burns the letter to a crisp before he gets the chance to read it.
  20. "Oh I thought this was our new maid!" Drondos adjusted his glasses and looked at Komi closely. "Well...sure she can join you lot. Just don't kill her, I'm running out of copper adventure badges. Now I've heard rumors that an area in the forests where you were got hit by some sort of...fire bomb? Sulfur, ashes, mystical glowing energy, was any clue as to what that could be?"
  21. Drondos looked Corvo in the eyes, a warm smile brightened up his face. "It seems plenty good has come from what you've done. According to this letter, Bertha and her gang decided to return home, given that the city guard take care of some people that caused the women to lash out. You worked well as a team...well the majority did...You've gained experience, and learned to be a leader. Trust me, I've seen many experienced adventurers who would've disregarded my request to spy on the bandit camp, and would've attacked." Taking his attention off of Corvo, addressing the rest of the party. "Now, the rest of you lot, ask your questions, get rid of your doubts."
  22. With a wave of his hand, Cliff's axe lifted off the table and was placed on a chair. "My, you're the angry one." Drondos chuckled, waving his hands again as the papers that were cleaved in half automatically put themselves back together, mending at the point of contact. Taking the letter that was given to him from Bertha, he snapped his fingers, the letter glowed a bright blue and returned to normal. "Has it not occured to any of you that this letter may have had an illusion cast on it? No one tried to detect magic? Rookie mistake." He briefly glanced over the contents of the note, scanning the information that was now revealed. "Ah, a simple request. I'll make sure to have the city Militia handle this. I'm am glad you did not engage Bertha, she is quite the powerful foe. Nonetheless, you have completed the mission that was assigned to you." He pulled out a few silver pieces, 5 each, and gave them to the members of the guild. "Elbine is dead .. that's rough buddy. I assumed she was one of the bad ones. Hiding her gender might've fooled the common man, but that is something that I am not. Young Corvo, do not be disheartened over morality. As much as it pains to say, the missions that you take are for the good of the realm. Sometimes, certain things will conflict with your personal views, that is to be expected. I trust you as a member of the guild to make the right decision when it comes down to it."
  23. OOC: @SSJRuss that wouldn't really be something that's rollable. The group's opinions and views belong to the players who control them, and I can't influence that with dice hehe
  24. Making haste towards Eastrun, the party would arrive there at sunrise. The city remained as it was when they left, it had been a week since the party departed on their first official adventure. What was meant to be a simple scouting mission, ended up in the betrayal and slaying of a companion. Here's to see how exactly Drondos, the guild master would react. Also, how the guild would react to Drondos now that they know he was the cause for the bandits in the first place. Towards the Adventurer's Guild moan house, sat Drondos on his stool. He was busy going over some paperwork, humming contently to himself. He spoke to the party without glancing at them, knowing who walked in before they entered. "Ah, welcome back, welcome back. Tell me, how did you fare? Were you able to figure out the reason of the banditry?" Also, Komi was hanging out with Drondos.
  25. As she found herself struggling to find her surroundings, Elbine would be met by a strange glowing light. Out of the center of the earth in front of her, a dimensional rift would rip open the ground, opening a portal to another world. Hellfire and brimstone began to rain from the rift, spreading death everywhere. Out of the portal, a bony hand would outstretch and encompass Elbine's body, dragging her through the hole! Gryheia, Goddess of the Damned, would catch Elbine and pull her into hell. Never to be heard from again, forced to suffer an eternity of endless pain and suffering.
