13:17 - The Djinn vs. Robot Santa Claus
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
I feel like a well made Robot Santa costume would be incredible, recognizable, and very funny. He should win over an obscure and not particularly unique character, no offense -
13:17 - Jigsaw (John Kramer) vs. Polar Express
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
Jigsaw should be able to take out the people running the train fairly easily. Does he have to destroy the vehicle itself? -
13:17 - EDI vs. Supreme Intelligence
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
Well this might not go well lol -
13:17 - Red Hood vs. Captain America
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
This would physically be very close, with Cap being peak human, but I think Red Hood's training and killer instinct gives him a leg up. He has favorable fights against Deathstroke who is very similar to Cap physically and skill wise, and has stood his ground against all the Bat Family in the past -
13:17 - Mister Fantastic vs. Mordin Solus
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
I think Mordin is just outclassed here. He doesn't have anything on Reed -
Thank Goodness an easy win for my side lol. Cybermen are too heavy and sturdy to topple easily and are strong enough to manhandle a person

13:17 - Deathstroke vs. Yakko Warner
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
Prep time really works against you if you're fighting a toon, and Yakko is one of the trickiest there is. Yakko should take this -
13:17 - Chaos (Disney's Aladdin) vs. Arthur Morgan
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
Well phooey. Chaos can sort of good around a lot and maybe that will lead to Arthur getting a win. I mean, Aladdin won against him, right? Arthur is at least as competent as him -
13:17 - GEICO Gecko vs. Ronald McDonald
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
I'm fairly certain this already happened and didn't go Ronald's way. I'll reiterate that Ronald can lean into the creepy clown thing and have some great synergy here, plus unlimited fries and milkshakes at any home showing or open house -
It's a bit late now but I would argue that wiping out all life isn't really "solving" the issue. It is maybe saying the paradox is unsolvable, but I don't think AM made that calculation and decided that this was for the greater good. I think it was just a sadistic machine that did what it wanted because it could. Granted I haven't read it in a long time so I may be misremembering. EDI will honestly try to address the paradox and won't resort to just wiping everything out. In my eyes that is a more optimistic and hopeful solution than just wiping everything out and that should make it a subjectively better one

13:16 - Dig 'em Frog vs. Michael Scott
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
I didn't mean you were lying about the events. Personally I do think it's fair to say Michael sent Dwight in, but at best you can say Michael saw Dwight going in and didn't stop him. I meant that you misleading about Dwight when you said Michael inspired Dwight to go in to the building. Dwight would do basically saying for Michael early in the show. In any case, the fact remains in literally every real emergency Michael is not a reliable leader, he puts himself above the other people in the office, and he's a terrible choice for leading an evacuation. I'm sure Michael will at least tie, but he really shouldn't -
13:16 - Dig 'em Frog vs. Michael Scott
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
This is just lying about the characters frankly. Michael didn't inspire Dwight. Dwight is inherently such a kiss ass that he's willing to do almost literally anything for his boss. And sending someone into a burning building after a phone is a display of both terrible judgement and reckless endangerment of the people he's in charge of. He didn't send him after a baby do they hypothetical is meaningless -
13:16 - Dig 'em Frog vs. Michael Scott
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
Magnamax provided a mountain of examples of Michael Scott being bad in an actual emergency. Culwych provided examples of Michael being a good guy, I guess. Michael sent Dwight into a burning building to get his phone. In both evacuation scenarios in the show, Michael is either not at all helpful or actively harmful to the situation. Michael should lose -
13:16 - Dig 'em Frog vs. Michael Scott
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
Michael Scott is consistently terrible in dangerous scenarios, isn't he? The only examples I can think of off the top of my head are him sprinting out of the office when there was a fire (helping no one else) and when Dwight set up the fake emergency where Michael was similarly not helpful at all -
13:16 - Cybermen vs. Orks (Warhammer 40,000)
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
If memory serves, Orks have a power where the things they believe become reality, and the more of them believe it, the most powerful this affect is. The Cybermen are robots with their human minds suppressed who usually can't think for themselves Uh oh -
EDI should win this one, as stated before. She basically helps Shepard with this very thing in ME3. Also, AM just kind of loses this category. AM puts no value in life and is a sadistic genocidal maniac

13:15 - Thirteenth Doctor vs. Rick Sanchez
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
The Doctor is definitely smarter and has a captivating energy, but Rick could invent something more showy, and the Doctor would likely avoid bringing anything that would really shake up the timeline. Plus he Doctor doesn't really care about money, but then again neither does Rick. I'll have to think on this one -
13:15 - Discord vs. Drizzt Do'Urden
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
Sorry Drizz't. Discord is more or less untouchable here -
13:15 - Chuck E. Cheese vs. Ronald McDonald
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
I think Ronald is just a better mascot here. Neither has a great connection or argument for why they should win, so we should default to who is the more successful mascot and that's definitely Ronald. Plus he has the creepy clown thing if he wants to lean into that, and he can offer McDonald's food to cater any open houses or showings, which is way better than Chuck's "pizza." -
He's above being hacked by the animated justice league. My point is that he's a big fish in a little pond. He has a planetary feat, but so does Brainiac, and most comic book Justice League characters. Brainiac has tech that can do things that Amazo has shown no capacity to do, like see into the fifth dimension, and he has stuff that may be able to stop Amazo or slow him down, like a power dampening field. I'm just not convinced that this Amazo, strong as he is, could be able to take down the more poweful comic book Brainiac

13:15 - Energizer Bunny vs. Mario
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
On the one hand, the best advice for running from a monster is "keep going and going," so the Energizer Bunny has that going for him. On the other hand, Mario is more recognizable, trustworthy, and he can actually talk to give out orders. Plus he has experience saving people from monsters -
It's a shame this never happened in the cartoon. Brainiac taking over Amazo's basically omnipotent body and them having to snap him out of his control could have been a really cool episode. As for who wins, it's really hard to say. Amazo was able to single-handed wipe out the animated JL, but those guys are a great deal weaker than their comic counterparts. Brainiac has beaten more powerful people, but Amazo by the end of it was incredibly strong, and resilient to every kind of attack. That said, we know there are some things he could not do. He had to retreat from the resurrected Grundy because the zombie man was able to feed off of his energy. If Brainiac could do something similar he might be able to use that to hack him. I'm not sure

13:15 - Dracula vs. Polar Express
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
Strictly speaking, Dracula's job is being a count, right? Whatever that means. Still don't think the train would be able to do it though. Dracula kind of wins by default here -
13:15 - Lightning McQueen vs. Ratchet
Peypeypeypey replied to UMPIRE's topic in CBUB Fantasy Draft Matches
Yeah, thank goodness for that clutch scenario. Lightning should definitely win here. Faster, built for quick turns and a lifetime of experience in races means he should have it for sure -
The Doctor is pretty great at cobbling things together. 10 specifically was able to build technology from a society literally at the end of time after just looking at schematics and talking to the inventor. Granted, that inventor did turn out to be a Time Lord in disguise, but the technology was still foreign to him and incredibly advanced and he built it like nothing
