IKA Posted May 8 Read Aloud Posted May 8 Hello everyone! For nearly three decades this website has been a place for users around the world to freely express themselves through their creative works of cross over fiction and debate about whether their favorite characters can kick your favorite characters butt! The site has evolved a lot since its inception Halloween 1997, starting with He-Man vs Callisto a battle so intense that history has erased the final score, you can still visit this in the CBUB Back Issues! Later it would expand to include message boards, and then rumbles so users could create their own battles! Not long after that the rated section of the board was created to allow users to compete amongst each other to see who could kick the other's metaphorical butt in a battle of who can write a better butt kicking contest. This site thrives on its users, and more so giving it's users more ways to express themselves, and perhaps more important than that, do it all while keeping it FREE for everyone. As some of you may know I gained ownership of the site in 2023 through the blessing of the sites creator, he has retired from the site, but still on occasion comes back to check on things and offer technical help and opinions on how to make the site even better! For this I will be eternally grateful! Since then I have been hard at work making the site have a better look and feel for its current users, and expanded many utilities of the site! However, as I mentioned previously, this site thrives on expanding your ability to express your creativity and today I am please to share the next step in that evolution! Today marks the site's push into webcomics with Worlds Collide Marvel Heroes vs Z Fighters releasing exclusively onto Comicbookuniversebattles.com with this the ability to make and post webcomics will become available to ALL members free of charge. These webcomics will have no paywall attached! In addtion as chapter release it will be covered by the popular Youtube Channel Mondo Cool, where he covers fan made Dragon Ball Web comics! What does this mean for you? More Free Content! More Ways to to create! More Eyes on your content! Click Here to read the first volume! 3
mick_art_ Posted May 10 Read Aloud Posted May 10 I've been working with Ugly Ears for years, and I took part in the previous edition of Worlds Collide. I'm really excited that the project has been rebooted—and even more thrilled that this new edition is in collaboration with Mondo Cool, a YouTuber focused on fan comics and manga, and CBUB, a platform that distributes fan comics for free. It gives the project a more professional and intriguing vibe, and I couldn't be happier! Both the story and the artwork have taken a huge leap in quality. I highly recommend it to any Marvel or Dragon Ball fan—it's absolutely awesome! 1
UglyEarGB Posted May 10 Read Aloud Posted May 10 Hey everyone, UglyEar here! Thanks so much for checking out our first issue! Fun fact—Lambo and I actually wrote the very first version of this story when we were just 11 and 12 years old… all sparked by a debate we’d seen on CBUB: Hulk vs. Broly. Now, nearly 30, we’ve finally brought it to life the way we always imagined. Over the years, we’ve made tons of changes and improvements—but now? You could say it’s in its final form... ba dum tss. This story is inspired by the MCU, Marvel vs. Capcom, DBZ Abridged, and of course, the original source materials from DBZ and Marvel Comics. The goal is for it to feel like a fun, over-the-top Saturday Morning Special from the '90s—so yeah, it’s a little campy on purpose. We’re also collaborating with Comic Book Universe Battles (CBUB) and its owner IKA, who’s helping us bring MVZ to a wider audience through his platform. And to take things even further, Mondo Cool is joining us to produce narration videos, bringing the story to life in a whole new way over on his YouTube channel. Huge shoutout to our killer art team: Erik Li Castri for the dynamic sketching and pencils, Michelangelo Stassi for the stunning colors, and Luca Gerlando for the clutch final artwork that ties it all together. This chapter sets the stage for something really meaningful to us, and we’re beyond excited to take you all along for the ride!
Pizza Guy Posted May 14 Read Aloud Posted May 14 This looks cool, maybe I’ll check it out in the near future.
