Realistically, Batman could probably just use the Batcave's computer to analyze the poison and find the antidote. Even if he has to use the method described, I bet he could probably do it still. As I've said in the past, Moriarty in the original novels isn't even really Sherlock's "intellectual peer," he's just someone with a lot of power and influence over powerful criminals, and Batman has no shortage of experience dealing with power brokers like that.
