Vampires in Ventura

"Well then...I'm sure Frost is somewhere in this building waiting for us...let's get to it." Nova remarks.

Digging through some of the rubble around his feet Warpath uncovers his knives and places them back in their sheaths. He then begins walking deeper into the complex.

Coulson picks up Deadpool and follows.

"You smell like oil and gunpowder....Me gusta."

[C.T.]

Nova follows. "I figure Frost is hold up in the center of this place in a bunker or other fortified area."

Iron Fist walks with the group.

"And you smell like a mixture of baby powder, pizza, and explosives."

Spider-Man stayed behind the group... breathing heavily from all the action and hard work.

[C.T.]

"Hey Coulson, maybe you should use your phasing to scout ahead, huh?"

[Guest nrdman]

"Roger, you can take this."

Coulson gives Deadpool to Nova and starts to phase ahead of the group.

[C.T.]

"You find anything interesting?"

[Guest nrdman]

OOC: Nobody answers. I wonder what happened to Vision (hint, hint)?

[C.T.]

"Coulson?"

 

"Coulson, you read me?"

 

"Dammit...no response. That's not good. Everyone, stay on alert. This just got worse." Nova said as he headed in, glancing at every nook and cranny.

Warpath grudgingly continued down the corridor with his guard up. Nothing could be heard with his superior senses.

[C.T.]

As the group continued along, the lights in the area suddenly shut off, rendering the area pitch black. In the cover of darkness is when the vampires that had been covertly following made their presence known by attacking.

Looking around in the dark with his superb vision Warpath yelled, "Its a trap! We're surrounded!" Bringing his leg up he thrust it forwards into the concrete wall on his left. The wall exploded in debris as he made an opening to help his team get out of the small corridor.

[C.T.]

"I can't see shit, where are you?" Nova yelled.

Reaching back through the hole in the wall, Warpath grabbed hold of Nova's shoulder and pulled him through the opening. He then began helping the others through using his enhanced sight to see better in the dark.

[C.T.]

"AH!" Nova said as he felt himself be grabbed by an unknown individual. Quickly reacting, he aimed a punch at the hand. "Don't touch me vampire!"

"Nova, calm down. Use your suit to light the area around you. Those disc things can glow right?"

[C.T.]

Nova stood there for a moment, thinking to himself. Why didn't I think of that?

 

Slapping his face, he lit up his palm with a globe of energy, illuminating a small area around him. "Thanks Warpath." he said, turning to face where his voice had echoed from...to find himself face to face with another bloodsucker. On reflex he nailed a punch to the nightstalker and sent him flying. "An ambush...we must be getting close." he noted.
