Masters of Evil story

Previously: The US government became concerned about the rising power of Khan Noonien Sing. They sent the Youngblood away team- backed by GI Joe- to eliminate him at his base in the Earth Kingdom.

The Youngblood home team encountered an operation by the Masters of Evil as Gauron and his wards- Xai Yu Fan and Xai Yu Lan retrieved their armed slave mechs.

Both missions were failures.

Youngblood was still steaming at the demise of the Youngblood home team. Shaft, Die Hard, Badrock, Vouge and Chapel would be given a team memorial. Televised with as many dignitaries as possible.

But there was a whole nether Youngblood team ready to avenge them. Not to mention the backup and reserve members.

Investigation showed that the culprits was an incarnation of the Masters of Evil. Best of all, they knew where to find them.

According to information found, the genetically enhanced human Khan Noonien Sing was leading the team. Youngblood had already tried to take him down alongside the Earth Kingdom rebel Kuvira. The mission was unsuccessful and they were ready for a rematch.

However, the United Nations superhero team Stormwatch had negotiated jurisdiction for failed Youngblood operations. It was an insult to Youngblood as it implied that Stormwatch was a superior team to them. But diplomacy was diplomacy and both sided respected it. So Stormwatch would take the operation. As a courtesy, Youngblood would standby for additional support.

The Stormwatch team consisted of Battallion, Fuji, Diva, Hellstrike and Winter.

Khan had a camp in Indonesia. It was suspected that he was training child soldiers. Genetically enhanced humans like himself. Stormwatch would go in, terminate and leave clean up for the local authorities. Bonus if Khan was there.

Miles Mayhem felt like a henchman. He was a general for crying out loud. Baron Zemo recognized that. It was the reason he approached him after his VENOM organization had been dismantled by the authorities. Most of their equipment taken and probably destroyed.

To keep his resources separated, Zemo never allowed Mayhem to operate alongside his core unit. As a traitor United States General, Mayhem could manage Zemo’s other assets. For this, Zemo did lone him one operative from his core unit.

He had heard of the marine called Doomguy years earlier. An impressive reputation. The marine had single-handedly repelled a demonic incursion. Zemo sent Doomguy with Mayhem in case things went south.

Their mission, given by Baron Zemo, was to absorb the assets from Khan’s followers.

Should the people be loyal to Khan then Mayhem was to kill them and take whatever equipment and weapons they had. If they wanted to cooperate with new leadership, they would join the Masters of Evil.

Mayhem was astounded at the power that Khan had amassed. He expected a handful of outcasts, wild-eyed Khan loyalists but a simple fly over allowed him to see several mecha and dozens of people. Not that he would show it, but the general was nervous about his reception.

Upon landing, Mayhem and Doomguy were greeted by an older man.

He introduced himself once they were in earshot.

“I am Master Asia. I’m responsible for training these young people.”

“You’re under new management now.” Mayhem replied.

Asia breathed. “I was warned of these new developments. Master Khan had vision.”

“Khan was beaten. Baron Zemo is the superior leader. Follow his orders and you won’t go wrong.”

Asia worked it out in his mind. “Let me show you around.”

Mayhem and Doomguy followed.

“As a long term thinker, Lord Khan devoted attention to bringing up young people. Genetically enhanced humans, like himself, continues to be born. He had dedicated them to being prepared to lead this world when their time comes.”
“Is this simply a training ground or an actual combat base?” Mayhem asked.

“Training.” Asia told him. “That is why it has gone unchallenged.”

“How do you secure the place?”

“Our trainees are put to use. But he was have personnel capable of repelling even super powered invaders.”

Right on cue, that alert went out. Hostiles were invading.

Most everyone seemed to know their duties as personnel scrambled to shelters or to gather weapons.

Master Asia lead Mayhem and Doomguy to a shelter where several trainers and young people had already run.

“I thought you said you use you trainees.” Mayhem looked at the wasted resources.”

“Only in necessary.” Master Asia explained. “As I said we have security capable of repelling even super powered opponents.”

The security monitors caught glimpses of those opponents as they went about their assult.

“That’s Stormwatch.” Mayhem said. “They don’t operate independently.”

“I know who they are.” Asia stared. “It’s not a problem. Our Bio Borg team should be able to handle them.”

Mayhem settled in for the show.

“Alright then Asia. Let’s see what your people can do.”
