Black Widow is a very smart and capable person. She has a large breadth of knowledge, among many other things being an incredible hacker. She's been around for a long time and been able to keep up with the newest tech.

She also designed her own wrist mounted stingers, so she has a definite edge when it comes to inventing as she's a bona fide inventor.

Nathan is great and all, but he isn't an inventor to my knowledge. Black Widow is more well rounded, I feel she can do this better.
