  1. Red Hood pummels Angel pretty quickly. I love Hot Fuzz as a movie, but Angel is just a pretty athletic guy who can get outrun by a “fun-runner” and isn’t going to be able to keep up with Red Hood. edit ✍️: Here clarifying that while I understand it’s an mma fight, not a race Angel does have pretty tight limits to what he can do. He’s remarkable for a London cop but he doesn’t have a lot of outlying feats that put him anywhere near Red Hood, he shouldn’t be able to keep up.
  2. I don’t think Darkwing is really going to talk his way out of hunted. Witchers are meant to have few emotions and Geralt only really shows care for those very close to him.
  3. It’s my fault for writing A Year Without a Santa Claus, I should have written Jack Frost. Jack Frost is actually his own special, which I hadn’t realized.
  4. I disagree with the consensus after reading up on the movie a bit. Jack Frost isn’t going to spread cheer with his weather powers. People don’t like extra winter. Jason would spread fear very far just by the presence of a supernatural serial killer terrorizing a camp.
  5. Jack Frost isn’t the Snow Miser is he? I do agree the songs are the best part, my brother in law loves that special just for that reason.
  6. I don’t really know how the SPMM would appeal to home buyers. CEC has an advantage with visual recognition.
  7. I think Wick’s best asset is improvising skills. He can adapt really well and should leverage that for a win in this matchup.
  8. I would agree with Dskillz. Unless a compelling argument for the Pink Panther is made later.
  9. I don’t remember The Year Without a Santa Clause that well to argue. Does Jack Frost try to spread cheer at all?
  10. I think the Jim Carey movie has an intro that zooms in on a falling snowflake. That’s the only instance I can think of where it’s implied the Grinch is that small.
  11. Yeah. I’m going to admit this is just Rick’s match. I think there’s a reasonable argument that Ray Palmer is a good enough all-around scientist that he would invent a pretty excellent dancing robot, but Rick is better at crafting one for the challenge. Unfortunate matchup for my guy. Team Magnamax needs a nap anyway. I’m also old and cranky. No longer have the energy to try and debate every match.
  12. I don’t know a lot about Rick Sanchez. Palmer is an inventive genius of the highest level. His tech is all based around mastery of dwarf stars and whatnot. I don’t recall a specific robot he has created. I’ll research tomorrow when I have more time. See if there’s specific evidence. Building a robot should be peanuts for Ray.
  13. Jango is going to be on foot in a mirror maze I presume, and that makes a difficult matchup even difficulter. I think the Road Runner escapes by virtue of his speed and shenanigans. EDIT ✍️: by shenanigans I mean that The Road Runner routinely escaped things that would presumably trap him. IE, the ol painted rock that he runs through trick. Mirror maze works for him, I think. Just makes things even more challenging for Jango…
  14. Fun matchup. Good debate, classic cbub. After reading the sides, I think Fox is a 70/30 favorite in my mind. He’s seemingly better/faster/better equipped hand to hand and should be able to incapacitate Mando. The forest fire seems less important to me. I think Fox can win without having to resort to a devastating fire starter.
  15. Want to shout out @IKA for pulling this together. I had missed the draft and this has been a fun season.
  16. At some point it was revenge. It’s hard to tell with the mythology though. It seems to be to trap folks in the forest and reenact some specific rituals. I think Snow Miser is less likely to be successful at that. Blair Witch is used to being a malevolent spirit type, being cold seems less strenuous for her. Snow Miser having to do things with that level of specificity seems more challenging reversed.
  17. Im going to double down on the idea that the witch has more power than the snow miser. While she may not be great at controlling cold I would think she still is more capable than him at her job otherwise.
  18. Hurm. So the Blair Witch is an elemental force that can seemingly distort time and space in the woods. The more recent movie has months passing in hours. In that sense, I think she’s as likely to do well at Snow Miser’s job than the inverse.
  19. What is the Snow Miser’s job? Don’t remember his movie that well.
  20. Marvin has proven he can do this before. EDIT EVIDENCE: Whenkidnapped by the bellicose Krikkit robots and tied to the interfaces of their intelligent war computer, Marvin simultaneously manages to plan the entire planet's military strategy, solve "all of the major mathematical, physical, chemical, biological, sociological, philosophical, etymological, meteorological and psychological problems of the Universe, except his own, three times over", and compose a number of lullabies.
  21. I don’t know if they are granted outside resources. If it’s the Avengers scenario, then they are just dropped into Earth and have to figure it out. Marvin has the brain the size of a planet. I’ve pointed out in my other post how he’s been able to perfect another planet. Cortana seems formidable here. I think Marvin has another gear.
  22. Marvin’s character is that he’s overwhelmingly smart but rarely gets challenged? Instead, he has to “hold open the door” and such, which leads to his attitude. When put to use: When kidnapped by the bellicose Krikkit robots and tied to the interfaces of their intelligent war computer, Marvin simultaneously manages to plan the entire planet's military strategy, solve "all of the major mathematical, physical, chemical, biological, sociological, philosophical, etymological, meteorological and psychological problems of the Universe, except his own, three times over", and compose a number of lullabies.
  23. I think the Predator could conceivably get the drop on The Borg and kill a few, my understanding is they aren’t individually impressive. The Orks are going to be almost impossible for him to kill one on one without significant advantages.
  24. Isn’t the carrier going to really struggle to stay on the track? It’s not built for drifting or anything right?
  25. Yeah lol. Idk the only argument that I can even somewhat try is size.
