  1. The picture used for Bond is Brosnan who is in the same continuity as all the Eon Bonds that came before him. So he is the same Bond who did things like go to space and fight Jaws. So this situation/environment isn't all that strange for him. He is also the more skilled and experienced of the two combatants.
  2. If Hobbs was just a tank, The Equalizer could probably pull a win, but Hobbs isn't just a giant brute. He is fast and skilled. On top of being ridiculously strong and tough.
  3. McClane. Besides maybe tech support I'm not sure there is anything Ryan does better. McClane is stronger, more skilled, tougher, and has more experience.
  4. Rambo is faster, stronger, tougher, and more experienced.
  5. If this was a shootout Snake might have a chance, but in H2H/melee combat Casey takes the win. He was basically never challenged by anybody he fought and he was normally fighting top end special forces or world class mercenaries.
  6. Spartan is good, but Matrix is basically a super soldier. In the he can body slam phone booths, flip over cars, tear apart metal, and jump from airplanes with our parachutes kind of way.
  7. Two ways to look at this. From a purely skill based perspective Leon ghosts Lara and then uses stealth to get the win. Problem is in character he won't fight her. Its against his "no women, no children" code. That said the setup seems to indicate he is willing to kill here So Leon should take the win.
  8. They were described in universe as top tier mercs and special forces. Even the mercs in the first movie treated LAPD SWAT, as in the premier SWAT team in the world, like a joke.
  9. 1. McClane looks and acts like a middle aged, washed up, drunk. He is the kind of person Beatrix is going to underestimate. Just like Budd. 2. Does she have superior physical feats and stats? McClane has down right absurd durability among other things. As for opponents they both fight skilled mercs and assassins. Remember John has made a career out of taking on whole teams of the worlds best mercenaries and special forces.
  10. I'd imagine. McClane grumbles about being.. "tired of of this Kung Fu crap" and plugs her.
  11. Harry is a beast with guns, but a melee fight is gonna favor McCall.
  12. I don't recall Banning having the same kind of physical status as Ross and he definitely doesn't have the shooting feats. This fight should go to Ross.
  13. Dutch is tough, but a melee battle seems like it would favor The Transporter.
  14. I'm not sure why people are acting like The Bride can't just be gunned down. The Deadly Viper's did it. Hell Bud took her out by himself with a double barrel shotgun. If Bud can do it, I don't see why McClane can't.
  15. McClane has a gun, an environment he can weaponize, and is facing a highly skilled, but over confident assassin. This is his comfort zone. The Bride on the other hand has and track record when it comes to facing gunmen. So chances are The Bride ends up hung from a vine after McClane shoots out the ground she's on. It's not as if John's toughness and tenacity couldn't carry him in a fight either. The Bride is not that far off from Mai Linh or Hamster Boy in "Die Hard 4".
  16. I'm not sure Wick has ever faced someone like Riggs. Wick is used to either rank amateurs or calm professionals and those professionals. Tend to operate in predictable ways. Remaining focused. While the amateurs are unpredictable, but also unskilled. There is an idea in fighting, especially street fighting. That somebody who doesn't know what they are doing is often more dangerous, then someone who does, on account of being unpredictable, making stupid and dangerous choices. We actually kinda see this in the first Wick movie when the mob kids manage to take Wick by surprise. Obviously at higher levels highly trained fighters are more capable. The thing is Riggs combines the skill of a true professional with the wreckless unpredictability of an amateur. On top of that Riggs has the feats to hang. He can ricochet bullets and throw hands with bullet dodgers. Wick for Riggs is just another stoic merc, to annoy. Until he gets his opening.
  17. Guns may be The Mariachi's go to, but we've seen him snap a man's neck with his bare hands and knock a dude out with a guitar.
  18. For all the hype Clay and the Beekeepers got in the movie. He didn't seem to do much beyond generic action hero stuff. Bourne should take this fight.
  19. Hobbs may be stronger, but that is probably the only thing he has going for him. El is fast, accurate, and clever. Both of them are stupid durable. As for strength El is surprisingly strong himself able to snap necks, sending people flying with kicks, and accurately shoot giant guns one handed.
  20. To be fair a lot of the stunts are done at least partially with practical effects and stunt work. Even more so in the first few movies.
  21. If you still need teams, I can put one together. Question though what is the general power level we are looking at? The write up seemed to peg it between Spider-Man and Hulk, give or take, but the list of candidates includes Green Lanterns. So I'm just curious.
  22. Zorro spends half his time as either a drunkard or an aristocrat depending on when in his time line you pull him from. It doesn't change what he can do. Also Jones describes himself as teaching part time, not the other way around. He has been adventure sense he was like 8 years old. He also rode with Pancho Villa, so he's done the revolutionary thing as well. He is also a combat veteran of some of the most intense battles of WW1. At almost 60 in Crystal Skull we see him take down whole groups of Spetznaz in melee combat. As in he basically winning a fist fight 1 v 6 against tier one special forces while almost a senior citizen. Point me in the direction of this version of Zorro doing anything close to that. Indy also has bullet dodging feats in the Young Indiana Jones and we regularly see him out move people that are already pointing guns at him. He also, you know survived a nuclear bomb. So there's that. He can also hit hard enough to send men sliding across the floor and KO two guys at the same time. He can also hold his own in a sword fight as he takes out multiple sword wielding Thuggee and the like. So yes. Jones is faster, stronger, has more combat experience, is better in a fist fight, is arguably just as good if not better at using his whip in combat, and a decent swordsmen himself. Not that he needs to be he is fast enough to disarm Zorro with his whip. Close the distance and pummel Zorro into submission. Also Indy won a boxing tournament and has wins over a couple of Olympic champion boxers.
  23. Indy may not have the same skill with a blade as Zorro, but he uses his whip as much if not more then Zorro. I'd wager Indy is as good with a whip. He is also faster, stronger, tougher, and better in fist fight them Zorro. Jones holds almost every advantage, aside from swordfighting. And he has the weapons, skills, and toughness to get past Zorro's sword, close the distance and turn this into a fist fight. Which Dr. Jones wins.
  24. The Phantom's main goal was to teach Christine to sing and marry her. Secondary and because of those motivation he sought to control who sang and keep his box, he did so through murder and extortion. On top of that keeping up the illusion that he was a ghost and staying hidden seemed to be his goals. Very little if any of that is something the Polar Express could do. Even if his main job was to keep the Opera's audience enthralled. That's not something the Polar Express can do at the Opera House itself and stealing the Opera's audience isn't going to help with that goal. The Phantom basically built the underground catacombs by himself and traveled the world building palaces, he has ties to national leaders. On top of a history with traveling shows, that traveled in northern Europe. So he's got experience with the cold, with massive logistical undertakings, and financiers if he needs them. Remember the tracks existed separate from the Polar Express. So the Opera Ghost could just follow them.
  25. No way, Blacula, like literally sucks, and Heat Miser is totally hot. Vote for him.
