Good job folks. Nice to see you're attempting to do your part. Sadly, I doubt it will have much effect. I sent at least a half a dozen PMs to folks who seemed to have trouble writing set-ups. I recieved no reply from any of them. Also, my biggest problem is not with the lack of writing quality, but with the general immaturity of the CBUBers. I appreciate the genuine effort though. EDIT: I probaby should have said this earlier, but I hope you guys grasp the meaning of the "constructive" part of "constructive criticism." Also, if this is going to work it needs to be more of a trade off of writing advice than a group of people going around saying, "I'm a better writer than you so do as I say or you will die!!"

I'm going to go ahead, and say that I was the one who wrote that Rant. First off let me say that it was never intended to be a "Lets change the CBUB" speech, it was more of a "F*** CBUB" rant. I had no intention of making it public either. I've seen so many similar rants from various kinds of peoplem, whose ideas would just die out in the next couple of days. This was simpily me telling my buddy treach why I'm no longer doing the CBUB. I firmly stand by everything that I said, and I truly feel like these changes would greatly benefit the CBUB. It really hurts me to see the current state of CBUB, which is why my rant is so emotion fueled. No, I'm not calling for a secret police *uncreative* to go around slamming people who don't write good set-ups. I guess the basis of what I'm asking for is a little bit of maturity and effort from the CBUBers. I mean how hard is it to type in complete sentences, and have a tiny bit of logic in your posts? Also, what many of you have said about criticisms is an extension of how I feel. People are under the impresion that giving someone a critique is the same as flaming them. Not true. A critc by its very nature is supposed to be beneficial to the writer, so by not giving our honest opinion to people we're actually hurting them in the long run. Of course there's a lot more to be addressed, and I'll gladly answer any questions you have. I'd hate to be misrepresented.

First off, there's a difference between insulting someone and offering constructive criticism. Secondly, Grano asked me to review this match. So I was really only doing what he asked me. Look, I'm sure people use this site for many different reasons. I'm also certain that "to improve writing skills" is on the bottom of the list, but when you have people complaining about the writing standards of the CBUB, a lack of constructive criticism is part of the problem. I wasn't addressing how much fun the site is, or why people continue to visit the site. I was merely pointing out that giving each other honest constructive criticism is one way to improve the overall writing quality of the CBUB. I had no intention of raining on your fun parade bloody.
