  1. Very entertaining. I particularly enjoyed how you managed tie together specific mythos elements that make it feel like a united whole. Off the top of my head I see the second mummy movie, AvP(both the movie and novels) as well as of course, the Scorpion King itself.

As to the match itself, warriors have killed Yautja before in single combat. It's tough as feck-all, but doable. Also, it's the Rock. Lol.

In context though, if the Scorpion King doesn't use his cunning, he's gonna end up as another skull on the hunters belt.

Despite searching the ship, it looked like they had found everything worth taking, and the ship was pretty empty. It was quickly approaching nightfall, and the temperature had begun to slowly drop as the sun had set.

Abandoning the empty pirate ship, the crew would find themselves back on The Angel Steve, their destination even closer than before.

They now found themselves at a crossroads, up ahead was the famed "Fossilals Island", where many rumors of endless treasures have circulated. The only problem, those that seemed the treasure rarely lived to tell the tale

Would they sail pass the island, and continue on their mission, to take a slight detour?

As tempting as the adventure hook of treasure was? They WERE on the clock as it were. A deviation, especially in such dangerous territory would mean their principal would be compromised.

Though it did bring up an idea, Corvo moving to check on their supplies of food and water they had, as well as whatever they salvaged from the pirates.

She look serious and discerning, shoulder-length black hair, sharp facial features, and a perpetual scowl on her face. However, the most noticeable feature of her face is the massive, hand-shaped area of scarred flesh originating from the empty socket of her right eye. The right half of her lips are singed off, some of the hair towards her forehead is noticeably missing, and her right ear is mostly gone. She wears a business suit, although discerning eyes notice that her suit appears to have metal lining the neck and shoulders, extending down to the cuff of her sleeves. She stands at the top of the table for several moments, scanning across the faces of everyone there, as if trying to read a book in a foreign language. Her face is still and hard to read. After a moment of taking stock of the room, she spoke in a raspy, strained voice.

Henry's enthusiasm died, even as his Guide hissed in a low intonation around his arm. He didn't need his Spirit Guide to tell him what drove this woman. It lingered on her like a miasma of rage and sorrows, frustration more burning than the wounds she suffered even now. This woman had two wolves in her.

And he knew which one she had fed the most.

"My name is Sienna Cordova." She introduces curtly. She stands with her hands folded behind her back, slowly making eye contact with her good eye to anyone who will match her gaze. "I have called you here for a simple reason: the gangs rule too much of this city. Of my city. I need them chased off. Killed, if need be. The police, the new mayor, and all the other professional heroes don't have the guts to travel into the mouth of the beast. They want to slowly take back the city, one goddamn building at a time. To hell with that. The longer we wait, the more innocent men, women, and children die on the outskirts of our city. We need to strike at the heart of this infection. Once you're properly trained and working as a team, we'll strike at the major gangs of the city. Once we topple one, the rest of those cowardly heroes will join us. Any questions?"

    Henry had none.

But he resolved to keep a close eye on this organization from this point on.

That's not really him though, is it? It's a cartoon version of an Elseworlds story. I thought we were focusing on the main version of Deadshot.

    It's not him? Huh.

There's so much stuff nowadays, I can't quite tell which one we're looking at. So who's this Deadshot then? I was under the impression that the DCA Movies basically were mainstream retellings/side stories. With exception of stuff like Red Son.

Okay, now we're delving deep into what Green Arrow can do and why he isn't just "a guy with a bow". I understand that on a surface view this does sound stupid, but the context of this fight literally explains why he doesn't kill Green Arrow. He just wants to deny him the usage of his weapons so he can speak to him. I suggest you read this entire arc, it's called Deadshot (2005) and it's only 5 issues. You can breeze through it, cause you clearly need some context beyond just posting random screencaps.

Furthermore, Wick is not Green Arrow. He's not the protector of the area that Deadshot's daughter resides in. There, context anyway in case you didn't want to read it.

Oh Green Arrow is cool. I just feel like when you put a bow expert vs a gun expert in close quarters, gun should be winning every time.

And if we want to discount plot armor, here at 0:27-0:28 is Deadshot missing in close confines the Joker...With that rapid fire wrist gun of his.

Find me a singular instance where he destroys a heavily fortified crime boss operated area on his own. No help, just him and his cane. This is literally what Commando, the movie John Matrix is from, is about.

Economics majors can run a business, but they can't beat the owner of a dojo cause of it. Like, let's be real here.

Yeah, context is important here. If Fisk has to do his own work then he's got no chance.

If each side gets their entire resources, etc available then Fisk has this. Money buys a lot of guns and people to wield them.

Or he just pays more to get his targets defenses on his side.

Are you pulling my leg here? He's very clearly shooting the arrows out of the air with his bullets.

As opposed to dodging and just shooting his opponent?

Even then, I wouldn't think it so impressive. As it shows his mindset is more on the immediate threat rather than any long term plan/hunt with traps that I believe Wick would excell better in.

    Also....It's a gun against a bow.

If you can't shoot a foe before they draw and shoot from a bow with a gun and with the skills Deadshot has, that just doesn't seem so impressive to me.

I sympathize with you to an extent, but I don't know what Deathstroke has to do with this fight specifically? This is Deadshot, his marksman copy.

    Just now, Macklemore said:

Naturally this is all grandiose to the point where it's cartoonish, but that's kind of what happens when one compares comic "marksmen"

So if he's that good, why does he miss people?

That's what I mean by the Deathstroke example. They're hyped up to the point of cartoonish but then never actually display these skills where it matters.

Wick though grounded, as far as I know has been consistent in his skills whether it's by Continental Assassin's,surprise attacks, the elites who struck the hotel, etc.

Whereas Deadshot can one day shoot a bowstring and then literally, can't shoot for shit in what should have been a fight slanted his way.

    Exhibit A.

    So what's changed?

  9. That's fair enough. In my side, I'd like to point out how comics tend to go willy-nilly with their power levels. Deathstroke for example in one issue defeats the Justice League and the next, Robin beats him solo or some shit. That and I'm not actually sure how many heroes Deadshot has actually killed as opposed to the generic 'mob boss/mook' targets they like to put up.

Also, I keep seeing the Arkham game version and how he got beat and with how Pandora is for it's cover and so forth, if there is a victory to be found? I think it'd be similar. Using the cover to get close and shoot/strike.

Of course, that pretty much makes it like the last match. Who gets the drop on the other first.

Though Wick with his ability to see a weapon in anything (death by horse) might weaponize the local creatures, stirring em up, using em to flush out Deadshot though that's up in the air.

Viantius examined the situation. He began rambling out loud, trying to deduce the solution to this problem.

"We need to find a key. A key to let him out. For all we know, he's a monk. Monk. Key. Monkey! Everyone, be on the look out for a monkey!" His confused babbling seems to confuse the situation further

    "....Sounds legit!"

Corvo went up on deck and flew up and around, searching.

"Oh my goodness! We need to see about getting these chains off of him. Are you sure your dagger is strong enough to cut him free or should we look for a key or something?" Komi looked with disbelief at Corvo. Was Jessamine that powerful?

He paused and looked at her before chuckling.

    "Good call."

This would be a lot faster. And he turned her into a small warhammer with a crowbar back, intending to use it to good purpose when he paused and listened.

    His eyes widened.

"We need the key. These chains surpress magic! Do you know how useful that could be for us?"

  12. "Reserve man myself." Said Henry with a faint, bittersweet smile before he walked to his seat and added.

"So since it does look like serious money has been poured into this, am all for it if it means a steady paycheck. So what do have to do?"

What the group of adventures did not know, was that in one of corners of the lower decks, cast in shadow, was a small figure chained to a chair. The small humanoid had obsidian black skin and, in stark contrast, white-pupil-less eyes. He was bound in a thick, iron wrought chains that had been enchanted to suppress magic.   The chain wrapped each of his legs to a different front leg on the chair, it was brought around his torso several times, and was even occupying in the space in between his upper and lower jaw, rendering him to one communicate in jumbled gargles. The taste of the metal was the only taste that had graced his taste buds during his entire captivity.

The pirate's prisoner was wearing a trench-coat that proudly displayed a badge. The badge read, "Inquisitor of City Watch, Manmin Hutch". The pirates took him while he was investing their illegal imports. They got the jump on him and took his unconscious body with them. He had lost count of how many days he had been abducted from their previous port and bound here. They didn't seem to want any information out of him, only coming down to beat him up occasionally.

But now the scenario had changed. He could tell this was the quiet after the storm. It was quite likely there was a change in management. He heard the whole commotion above deck. The jaw jacking, the explosions, and the whole brouhaha. And now it was quiet. The shuffling above was different then the noises the pirates made before, indicating that the invaders had won.

His initial captors had been really tough, and now Hutch wondered what new kind of warriors he'd be dealing with. If they ever found him. Were these saviors or simply a much more sinister evil? Well, if they searched the ship hard enough he was gonna find out. And he was literally defenseless to get out of his predicament on his own (he had tried everything and was weak from hunger) and hoped that whatever entity encountered him would be benevolent enough to let him out.

A dagger flashed and moved to cut him out, Corvo saying cheerfully.

    "Up and at em, Lawman."

That's fair enough. Like I said, I don't know Overwatch very well.

This matchup depends on how closely you scale the Scotsman to Jack. He did fight him to a  standstill, but Jack also seemingly didn't want to kill him and he was in an environment where Jack's superior speed and athleticism were severely limited.

In terms of pure swordplay though he did pretty well. Standing up to Samurai Jack is impressive in and of itself.

Though to be fair, he did puncture his second love so maybe it was just the Scotsman running on pure rage.

As Rey prepares the leave, Nicolas calls out to him. "Mr. Ray. I can assume you that Master Cordova would not have spent all the time and resources scouting and inviting you if she did not have the utmost confidence in your abilities as a crime-fighter. If you choose to leave, then we will not stop you. But this is an opportunity that many in the community would give up much to get. And you will be rewarded handsomely for your work."

That actually answered Henry's next question and he brightened up a bit more.

"So what kind of salary are we looking at? Depending on the pay, I could just fold up my agency into this one and work out from here. Because I got bills to pay when I'm not on the clock."

Floating back down to his seat, he'd call over to Ray.

"Yeah dude, listen to blue hair and the butler, the more the merrier right? Punching stuff is cool too, even the supermodel guy with the whip can take out the baddies, like some sort of archeologist from a movie franchise or something."

He looked briefly uncomfortable as he spoke.

"Like I said I'm just a dude with a whip. My best trick really is this."

And before everyone's eyes, he was suddenly gone.

    Just now, michalecs said:

She took off her mask, not like it made a lot of difference, it was just an eye mask, and put it in a pocket on a belt around her waist.  Sticking out her hand, she tried again. "Hi, I'm Karen, and I may be a dorky scientist but I'd like to be your friend."

"Anyone who can punch out guys like Balboa's lovechild is good in my book!"

And suddenly, he was opposite Ray as if he was always there.
