  1. I prefer Pan's old picture because it was not an image from DBGT and felt the image of her eating ice cream helped establish the character she was in dragon ball before TOEI's indulgences. I guess that's just me huh? But I really do not understand why Zeromaru and Gyarados had their images changed, Zero's in particular showed him in action. I can at least see wanting Cell to be perfect form or whatever but remember when the site used to stream the alternate images below the big one? Why does it not do that anymore? It seems like it would (mostly) solve most of the image issues. Really low quality, disgusting or out of character pictures would still have to be removed but it would cut back on "I like this version better" or "This is the art style in the most recent comic/episodes".
  2. It seems like something changes here eveytime I am not on it for a week, but thank you for advice.
  3. I decided I did not want to do this match and hit "cancel" but the thing posted anyway. So that is why there was no scenario. I just typed up one really quick to make up for it. Hopefully you saw it before grading but if not I could always throw this one out I guess.
  4. What it was exactly is not yet known but something went wrong, horribly wrong. The coordinates were exactly right, solar wind, drifting planetoids, the increasing dark flow, negative matter storms, every possibility had been accounted for. Even to the naked senses everything seemed to be correct, yet it was all wrong. Doubly so because the launch was aborted after all necessary calculations had been made. Perhaps someone else did some piloting in the brief second he had left to check the oil levels of the engine? Perhaps there was some glitch in the system that rendered "abort" as "go to the exact opposite place of where the aborted coordinates were. Perhaps he had simply misinterpreted the instructions, expecting this new ship to work just like the old one, as Terrasaur suggested. His fellow Predacons believed the latter to be the most likely explanation but Scorponok insisted that he had done no wrong. Regardless, this was not Earth. It looked deceptively like the planet where their ancestors did battle but Tarantulas's testing suggested this would only be 2004CE, if that were true and nothing matches up with the historical record, or indeed first-hand accounts-Rampage had been on Earth at that time and finds nothing familiar. Ironically, one of the goals of this mission was to eliminate the hominid genus but if this planet was the only location with a human population it would accomplish little. Here humans are slightly more distinguished than common farm animals, forced to labor their masters refuse to do themselves or talking pets that make for a good source of protein in a pinch. Monsters rule this world, and their rule makes the Maximal oppression of the Predacons seem benign, the humans see the Predacons as liberators but the monsters see the cybertronian life as a living blasphemy against their deity. Moo, they call him, a tyrant's tyrant. His rule knows no bounds, he even enacts laws for how many times a monster is allowed to breath in-between bites of human flesh, exactly what sound they are to make when lapping up water, the proper way to react to injury...Moo is likely on his trone drawing up new laws pertaining to the predacon presence. Megatron is primarily concerned with gathering enough energon to make it back home with no stops, not trusting the spacecraft's computer to do that correctly and knowning the more courses to set, the larger the possibility of future predicaments such as this one. Scorponok on the other hand sees an unprepaired world ripe to conquer, though not as easy as ancient Earth theoretically been for them, he is still convince from what little opposition they have seen that this is just another world of inferior carbon life forms and for the first time in Predacon history they have popular support from a sufficient part of the population. Instead of taking more risks with more time travel missions to Earth, the liberated humans could be future infiltrators of the rogue planet, they may even be able to fool the Maximals for a little while, who do not seem to have any presence on this resource rich world. Because his superior is not interested in anything but his original mission and his subordinates seem to blame him for the incident though Scoropok is going to need more than just reasoned proposals to win them over. He will need results. Intelligence from the indigenous population suggests one of "Moo's" top brass, Naga of the "big bad four" has been dispatched to supress the Predacon advance. Scorponok resolved to meet Naga's forces alone, informing only Inferno of his plans. It was invevitable that the loyal ant would eventually tell the queen of what was transpiring but it would be more than enough time to dispatch the conceeded flesh creatures. It should resonate strongly when one of Predacon singlehandedly fells Moo's, they will naturally displace this sacred cow "Moo" as deity in the simple minds of the carbon creatures and then perhaps Megatron will be more strongly convinced of this planet's great worth and resolve to see the fight for it through to the end.
  5. Personally, I don't consider GT legit but... Super Saiyan Four Goku didn't impress me when he was disabled by ice. Back when Goku trained in the outer reaches of the time chamber where the ice was forming faster than his aura could break it, he kept going. Up until Omega Shenron none of their power levels even seem close to Cell level, like it wasn't until the end Toei remembered these guys blow up planets through careless poweruse. Since the movies aren't part of the regualr series plots, I think that Buu beating stronger fighters means that the movie versions of Goku and friends are stronger than the regular series, the movie just interpreted their power levels a different way or that the writers didn't have a good grasp on the concept of consistency. Regardless, it is not until Buu that we even have a non-movie character confirmed to destory a star. Buu destroyed a galaxies but did so off panel. For all we knew he spent a billion years destroying each star one at a time while he warred with the Kais. And in Brolly's second appearance, which would be between Cell and Buu, he's able to overpower Goku and his two son's combined special attack at the same time until Trunks steps in, I'd say at the very least he's much stronger than Cell. Even if Gohan, who beat Cell by himself, had been "slacking off" Goku spent all those years training. Maybe Brolly should be considered "weak" to later Dragon Ball characters, but his first on screen feat taken on its own puts him slightly below the likes of Marvel's Odin. If one simply read the Dragon Ball comic without ever watching the movies one probably wouldn't get the impression Goku ever had that kind of power, at least not until the Buu series, if you're really generous. Vegito maybe, he powered through Super Buu's attack that was tearing at the seems of reality, I could buy him duplicating the feats in the films, but not Goku. Hatchyack is Brolly's equal, Janemba would be stronger than Broly by definition, and so would Gogeta but they're also movie only characters. In future Z discussions there should be a disclaimer to leave out movie feats unless using movie characters because I feel like Toei really let themselves go when making them and further that, just because a movie character beat weaker versions of the Z cast shouldn't mean they should be considered weak when fighting characters from other franchises on the CBUB(Brolly's record kind of speaks for itself). Watching GT, I got the impression these guys were weaker than Cell, up until Nova Shenron was stated to have power that burned hotter than the sun. That was litterally the first time Super Saiyan Four Goku looked strong, when fighting him and then Goku's crippled by a little ice, less than he had to deal with at the start of the series when we were on Android Number eight. In that case it seems like Toei went too far in the opposite direction. Since this thread seems to be doing feats in order, you missed Arale and Android #8's feats of strength by the way. The former head butted General Blue(the same Blue Tao killed) from China to Egypt and the latter knocked General white over the horizon.
  6. I haven't been on a while, but I'd just like to put this up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlIVhyrRTwQ Thirty seconds is all that anyone needs to watch. Only Thirty Seconds. Watch that and tell me why people say Brolly is "weaker" than Cell or "Super" Seventeen. Cell boasted about being able to blow away the sun(and didn't do it) Broly destroyed the south galaxy and didn't think anything of it.
  7. Half Bruce Lee vs Trained soldiers. I guess the soldiers would be able to keep them apart, you know, for their own dignity's sake.
  8. Day and night, the shells of the vampire victims stalk through the Lanayru Province. The shells do not have enough blood for bodily functions yet they move. There are no exit wounds to explain why so much blood is lost from them, yet it is clear from those who've operated on them and those who've fell them in battle that much of their life fluid is missing. It is hard to tell those who've become shells from those who have not on sight alone but those familiar with the victim know too well. All sense of their former selves are gone, they move only to fulfill the will of their new master. As for vampires, few have seen one. The only proof of the blood sucker's existence is its handiwork and the words of Lanaryu's guardian spirit. Some have insisted the vampire must come from the water, given the province's large number of wet lands, lake Hylia and Zora river but the Zora's themselves have found nothing to prove it. The Zora were initially blamed for the attacks before the light spirit insisted on their innocence, now they are simply blamed for not doing enough to help. The vampires have no taste for fish blood it seems, so their detractors say the fish people can't be bothered to do anything. There were many hypotheses, opinions and accusations but none of them got anything done while each night, the number of shells increased. The light spirit cannot act, he still recovers from the last threat he tried to fight off. It is not known how much longer it will take for him to recover. Simply waking him for inquiry may have set his recovery back and his only solution was to "Counter vampires aligned with Ulyaoth.†it is no help since no one knows what it means. Queen Zelda has sent soldiers in to capture a vampire but it has only left Lanaryu filled with well armed shells and Hyrule with a smaller, demoralized army. Hunters have been hired, mercenaries sent in, bounties put up but all to no avail. It seems the best hope for the vampire problem is coming free of charge. Growing tired of the accusations, Zora King Ralis sent for a young ranger in Ordana who he claims has successfully fell a vampire. He can provide no real proof but since this Link's arrival the number of shells has significantly decreased so the residents have been thankful. Victims are still turning up in the province though and residents are starting to pack up, help has come too late to save their sense of security. Ralis finds it a little insulting that he should get unfounded blame and so little gratitude or faith but Link would not have it any other way. His battles with the twilight realm and Ganondorf had got little attention or support from much of the populace and the ranger was beginning to think he worked better that way. He had some doubts though. Shells or not, shooting what where mostly civilians was still a new experience for him and he did not like it. Zant had forced much of the same but his victims were so twisted it was impossible to see the person they once were. They did not have human faces or cry out in pain the way a person would. The vampires themselves were cowardly and their forms were not immediately visible. Worse still, they only came out at night; he had only taken down one vampire on his first night on the job but he had encountered shell of their victims at every conceivable hour. Now that he had killed one the blood suckers avoided him like they avoided the sun. The king was distressed that the creature faded away, its body could not be put on display but nonetheless he has been supportive and Link has continued on with no audible complaints. --------------------------- All the vampires were supposed to die when he killed Count Dracula but to Van Helsing's surprise, all vampires did not come from Dracula, his days of hunting them were far from over. Ulyaoth's fate had been foretold by a prophet, it was the same fate as that of his two brethren, mutual destruction. Yet the cardinal would not allow Van Helsing to simply let fate take its course and work on a more desirable case. At least Ulyaoth's creations were not of human origin, they were grotesque things that ran on their knuckles like apes and only stood up like a man while feeding but he had only caught one in the act of feeding. In the rest of his time in this region Van Helsing had only encountered their victims. He had only executed men who were driven to evil against their will. As usual, his complaints to the cardinal were dismissed with insistence to stay on the hunt, it would only strengthen his faith the cardinal said. Though the two hunters are not enjoying their job, they are doing it as well as can be expected. The vampires are finding it harder and harder to avoid them and both are carrying the perfect vampire killing weapons, the automatic crossbow. The weapons shoot bolts of wood that are the blood sucker’s weakness nearly as fast as most bullets. Against the threat only five vampires remain, the only question that remains is which hunter will be more successful when the hunt is over.
  9. "...and I'd once again like to thank you all for attending this year's Junior Olympics. I know the track and field events most of you came to see are winding down but I encourage you all to stay, if not for the other athletic events than for our Symphony Orchestra, for our theaters, for the Ravens, or just to sight see. Know that you're always welcome here." mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced over the loud speakers. "Well, they say the country that hosts the Olympics will always receive a spike medal wins but it apparently doesn't hold true for the city that hosts them, at least not for Baltimore in these junior summer games." said the Ghanese athlete Kofi Kingston, who sat in the commentator's booth. "Nope, the two little Jimmies with the most medal wins are from Chicago and Philadelphia and they about to face off again!" his partner, R-Truth, added. "In what many called an upset, the runner affectionately dubbed 'Fat Albert' took gold in the 100 meter dash. That would technically make him the fastest athlete here." Kofi mused. "But lil Riley finished first in the four hundred meter run, now we at the 200 meter, the last individual sprint of the night. Now we'll see who really is the fastest between the two." Truth said. "It will be interesting to see. There are a lot of good athletes here, after running so many races and preliminaries these two might be at their leg’s end, someone else might win but I still am interested to see which of the two comes ahead of the other. Earlier we had sent Kevin Holmes track side, for some comments from the runners. Care to give those who tuned in late a recap?" Kofi asked. "Sure thing, Riley proclaimed that he is in training to be the first man to get away on COPS and that this track thing is just to expand his name recognition for his future crack deals. Albert meanwhile is really here to coach relay runner Doris Robertson and did not expect to be a finalist himself, much less a medal winner. He is dedicating this race to all the kids in Philly, encouraging them to follow their dreams because they just might come true." "Could their outlooks be further apart? It seems the only thing they have in common is not taking the competition to seriously." Kofi chuckled. "Jimmies don't know what they talking about. You know they're gonna look back at this tape years down the line and cringe...and there's the gun, they're off!" Truth yelled!
  10. Battle girl I guess. I don't remember comic Shredder being excessively dangerous.
  11. I think Carmen will be too much for Doom. He might convince her to return what she took after playing her games but he won't actually capture her.
  12. Considering Beowulf and Heracles have the same exact superpower(super strength), I think Heracles would win. How he would handle Grendle's mother is another story.
  13. Well, Hulk can't lift a planet because that would be physically impossible. He can break them though. His strength does have limits, but those limits are about the same as the limits of a gammaray burst.Well, I'm voting for Nemesis. Just so it wouldn't be 25 to 0.
  14. As he climbed toward the sun, Pit realized he had forgotten how good it felt to fly freely. The Wings Of Pegasus did have their limits, they wouldn't be taking him too far from home anytime soon, but he felt relieved just to be able to be able to pass as close to the sun as he had. He had confirmed there was nowhere in Skyworld the treasure couldn't take him and his test run doubled as his patrol run, there did not seem to be any trouble on this level either, so the Icarus guard turned his head down from the dwarf star and descended to the Overworld. If nothing else, that level's mesosphere would be a good place to see how the wings held up against the cold. *You've been out for a while now. Have you ran into any trouble, found anymore kinks that need straightening?* Pit heard the voice of lady Palutena carry through his head as he continued to decline through the Overworld's atmosphere, from plain to hot to cold to hot again, it always awed him. "No, you did well this time, the wings of Pegaus are functioning at full efficiency everywhere they need to be. Also, Skyworld looks good today, I'm going to finish checking the Overworld, maybe stop at the Underworld fortress and then rest easy if they look good too." Pit reported. *The nicest update I've gotten all day, I've gotten mostly bad news and I need you back at my palace ASAP.* "Okay, let me do this one thing." Pit replied after he passed through a thick layer of clouds to see a disturbing sight on the ground. *Uh, who are those people? Are they human?* Palutena inquired. "Long story." Pit grunted as he closed his wings together and dove faster. It was only noon but it had been a long day, from five AM to now Mark's company had been on the move at elevations they were unaccustomed to. No one complained, they were all determined to deliver their angel feather before their rivals but the sight of the finish line at the bottom of the mountain was relieving enough that the youngest recruits practically bounded off the slope with little regard to safety or protocol. For five days did the golden armored fighters trekked to get one black feather, they had gone 150 miles if one simply drew a straight line through their path and their road was anything but straight. Some had been wounded, other dehydrated, Mark himself hadn't eaten anything he could stomach in days but the gold team's triumph made the trip worth it all. The sky itself seemed to celebrate their success. The overcast seemed to part just above them as if to shine a spotlight on his team but Mark realized this was not the light of the sun but the tracer of a scout highlighting their position. Then there were clanks of metal on metal and his teammates started to fall to unseen forces. It had taken him a while to find a setting his visor could detect the enemy on and in the confusion everyone did not hear Mark over the enemy's screeches, instead relying on the sound. Strange men they were, with wide spanning wings of gold, taloned feet of birds, faces like bulls and skin of marble. They tore into the fighter's ranks with stylized spears and scattered them with heavy flails. The more experienced fighters rallied but their weapon were of little effect and only inspired more of the enemies to fall from the sky sounding trumpets and sousaphones which unleashed explosive projectiles as they sounded. Where the missiles landed the ground was torn apart around and plumes of lava erupted. And from the eruptions arrived yet more enemies, shaped just like the men of marble but glowing with bodies of flame. Shocked by the sights before him, Mark found his hammer broken and all his comrades downed if not dying. Backing away he stumbled, briefly forgetting the mountain he had come off earlier. Above he could see yet another figure flying down from above, but this one flew on familiar wings and held a sword which had laid down suppressive fire for the gold team numerous times in the past. "Pit?" he called skyward. His shots did not seem to have much effect either, yet the enemy seemed to halt at his sight anyway. "Dimitto!" Pit cried out and continued to yell in words the gold team was unfamiliar with as he came between them and their assailants. "(You must have forgotten, you are not welcome here. Go back home and remind your friends.)" Pit continued. "(You think you can command us with a mere plasma blade, we who stand against Inferno? Run back to your lady)." One of the fiery figures retorted before flying at Pit, who ascended above him with a quick flap from the Wings Of Pegasus. "(Those were warning shots.)" Pit said as the clouds above darkened before dropping a lightning bolt down on him, which he directed at the belligerent party with his sword. Five more bolts fell in rapid succession and Pit shot them all through his opponents, who backed down and disappeared into either during the resulting thunder. He then turned to Mark saying "Take this in case they return." and handed him the plasma sword. "Who were they?" the armored fighter asked as he took the weapon. "Angels of Paradiso, their from another planet. I'll have to do a thorough sweep of the Overworld." Pit answered. "The guys proceeding what's written in Revelation?" Mark asked. "No, but they think they are." Pit answered before he produced a bow out of light and took flight. *Yeah, there are a lot more of them actually, that was part of the bad news.* Palutena informed him. "So where should I start?" Pit asked. *There isn't time, hurry back, we need to plan our next steps quickly and carefully.* "What, there are higher ranking invaders than those Affinities here?" he asked. *I have learned the inhabitants of Alfheim were all but exterminated and the land itself was broken up and divided across Paradiso...*this time the voice in his head came in a whimper. *...and that was before they brought Jubileus back.* "This is that bad news?" *Yes, the reason I had you testing out our sacred treasures was because the Angels of Paradiso were annexing other worlds of light. They may not be enough now that Jubileus is back though.* "Come on, I've beaten the goddess of darkness Medusa and Orcos, king of the evil land, how bad could Jubilee be?" *She's not as bright as they were, her angels are attacking the Overworld now because they think they are in Skyworld but she's also unlike anything we ever fought. The enemy will realize they aren't where they want to be, the Overworld will survive but we won't unless we carefully plan our defense. Please comeback Pit!* "Fine, fine." Pit muttered but as he turned and moved to ascend back to Skyworld and then crashed into a wall of red energy that suddenly formed above him. "Subsisto!" a voice boomed above the thundering clouds Pit had started as he stopped his fall and from the darkness emerged a figure of shining white marble, radiant armor and six golden ribbons that spread out from her head. Each of the latter ended with a face the size of Pit, he was considerably dwarfed. *Oh, she's here already. Guess I should start planning an evacuation instead.* Palutena sighed. "Come on, I've beat things about this size before." Pit whispered. "(So finally you show yourself. You are one of this world's angels yes? I heard you talking to another, where do the rest of your kin hide?)" Jubileus demanded to know with another booming voice. "(Um, I'm the only one! The one who will defeat you!)" Pit grasped for words, trying to sound convincing. *Just stay alive, I'll charge up the sacred goddess clobber laser.* Palutena suggested. "Wait, let's make sure we need it first." Pit blurted out. "(Beat me with a bow? You do not know much about me I take it?)" Jubileus asked. ("I know you don't belong here!") Pit answered, thrusting his bow forward. ("Fool, all the worlds of light will become part of Paradiso. They are needed for my new creation!") Jubileus explained. ------------------------ Pit's equipment:The arrow of light, the wings of Pegaus, the mirror shield. Jubileus has all the powers of the left eye she had when she had at the end of the game.
  15. Rika plugs in an ice card or something, Renamon freezes him solid. Rika yells at her for kill icing him over when all she wanted was his legs numb. The two run away, afraid they'll be apprehended for murder, not realizing such a thing can't kill Kurgan.
  16. Most Zords can't fly, Lions can. Also, Voltron has a plot device blazing sword. Sure, sheer numbers might still win but I don't think it's for sure.
  17. Selene dodged bullets and shrugged off a near point blank rifle round. I don't think the Terminator would kill her so easily, not with out silver or whatever the vampire weakness was in underworld. That said, the terminator probably would win here, eventually, if Michael's not thinking rationally. It'd have to be the first one to figure something out.
  18. Technopathy on MODOK seems like a good way to go, doesn't it?
  19. I'm going to do a lantern match just so I can spam their chant one day. The girls win.
  20. I only see a win for Zero if Timmy breaks the rules, the other choices seem unlikely...well as long as the Asir remembers alcohol is bad for people.
  21. Wreckers--Leadfoot, Roadbuster and Topspin from live action film series. Steeljaw from the toy line breathes fire but doesn't really transform, he can combine with Leadfoot to make him more powerful though. Whirl is in his generation one incarnation. Vehicons--Thrust, Jetstorm, Tankor, Obsidian and Strika are all their Beast Machines incarnations.
  22. Rick Jone's mind controlled probably isn't as smart as Jones not mind controlled.
  23. So who thought Frenzy was better as a bad guy?
