Flight gives the Koopa Troopas an underrated advantage. Goombas, comparatively, cannot compete cause they can't really throw things due to lack of hands.

Yeah, Koopas are generally far more capable than DB gave them credit for. They have a lot more versatility and are generally smarter. Smart enough to participate in almost all the Mario spin offs, such as Tennis, Kart, and Gold. Goombas never really make it into those

Could go either way honestly. Both pretty much exist to be cannon fodder against Mario, so hard to get passionate about either of them.
