KHAZAN FALLING: Slag and Broker vs. Balrog and Sagat

Street Fighter Universe's Balrog and Sagat vs. FPL Universe's Broker and  Slag

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Saturday Night Slam Masters (SNSM)!!!  As you all know the wrestling world has been in an uproar since the debut of former heavyweight boxing champ and current disgrace to the profession Balrog.  Since his arrival at SNSM, he has been nothing but trouble.  In his debut, he knocked out former champion Zangief with an amazing punch that sent the big Russian flying from the ring during his title defense against upcoming sensation, R. Mika.  The boxer then stole the heavyweight belt and is claiming himself the King of all Fighters.  Today, the mad boxer has again interrupted a match and has beaten Mexican high-flying superstar El Fuerte to a pulp.  Now, the monster is calling out anybody backstage or in the audience to challenge him for the belt.   When will this madness end?  Will anybody accept the challenge to put this bruiser down?

At that moment, Calendar Man comes running through a misty corner and into a smelly locker room at the SNSM stadium.  Pulling the shard out, he opens the note it is wrapped in.  There is a map of the world he is in.  He reads it aloud:

Take the shard to Rose in Genoa, Italy.  Give her this note first.  She will assist you.

Calendar Man nods and tucks the note into his pocket.  Suddenly, the sound of Broker and Slag can be heard as the misty corner begins to shimmer.   Tucking the shard into his pocket, he rushes through a curtain and towards the sound of a loud crowd.  Upon rushing through the curtain, he enters a long runway with an enormous crowd on either side in arena seats.  His heart drops as he looks forward and notices a rather large man staring at him menacingly.  "What is this Ladies and Gentleman?  A challenger steps forward!!"  Calendar Man turns to run back, but runs into a giant doorman and two guards.  "You really want to challenge the champ, lil guy?" The doorman says.

"Um...No!  Absolutely not?"

"Well, you sure picked the wrong door to come through."  The doorman looks at the strange calendar months tattooed on his head.  "Hmm...weirdo.  Okay weirdo.  Get out there, make it good."  He pushes Calendar Man forward and he stumbles towards the ring.

"Wait...no.  I'm not..." He stutters just as Broker and Slag enter the arena through the curtain.  Calendar Man's face lightens up.  "That is to say, I'm a... a manager!   That's it.  I'm a manager.  That girl right there, she is the challenger.  Yeah.  Send her on."

The doorman looks back.  "Alright, a girl?  Fine... whatever."  Then several large guards begin pushing Broker and Slag towards the ring.  "And send the managers up there too.  Good luck you three.  You're going to need it."  Broker and Slag move forward too perplexed to fight back before they are at the base.  Likewise, Calendar Man is pushed forward.  Once there, he runs to the adjacent side of the ring looking for a way out, but the crowd will not let him leave.  Likewise, seven large guards are blocking the exit.    Balrog looms overhead.  "I'm going to eat your ears!"  Slag snarls in return.  Meanwhile on the other end of the arena, a large man with a huge scar pummels his way through the crowd to the announcer's booth.  He grabs the microphone, "Balrog, make this quick.  Bison has need of us.  We have a flight to Germany to pick up the Dolls, Juli and Juni"

"Aw come on... I was gonna smash some heads."

Sagat looks around at the mess, "Be quick about it."

The fight:

Sagat is waiting, he will definitely join in if Balrog is getting double teamed.  But he won't join in otherwise.  He is concerned with leaving more than anything and he doesn't want to see Balrog hurt.

Slag has her regular abilities.  Balrog will not let her talk her way out of this fight.  Broker may be better at the talking though.  If he chooses to join the fight, Sagat will join.

Slag and Broker are FPL characters and their profiles can be read below.  Take it Callisto!

If I RP will I be RP'ing against you treach? Also, can I use Calendar man as a human shield, sword, missile, punching bag, or welcome mat? Seriously, someone's getting a molten iron swirlie after this.

(PS, Vote Slag. Why? Because she's made of burning metal, can spam a projectile attack of burning iron softballs that would effectively cover the whole screen through area effect, can put on giant molten armor that burns other people to the touch, and she regenerates HP. You'd play that character if they had one.

I'd argue against balrog but I've never played Street fighter, more of a mortal kombat/soulcalibur guy. I will say this; he looks like someone took an industrial sander to George Foreman then put him in a middle school gym uniform. So yeah, vote for Slag because she's prettier too.)

Also of note, Balrog can move through projectiles, and his boxing gloves probably have enough padding to keep his fists from melting off on contact. Slag's regeneration may help a little bit, but she's going down without help.

Meh, I say. Meh to all that!

Slag's ore balls are superior level fire, which as of the power definitions grants " Flame thrower grade pain. Most building materials are soon torched and melted, to say nothing of a human being."

A little padding isn't going to stop him from getting third degree burns. And I think that has to perform a special move at the right time at  in order to dodge projectiles, he isn't immune to them. Plus, who kills elephants? I want to go on record as against elephant murder.

I have no idea who Broker or Slag are, so my automatic reaction is to say that Balrog wins this. By the way, Calendar Man probably wouldn't take very kindly to being a human shield. :P

OK. I've read up on the Broker and a couple other FPL characters, but I still think Balrog has this. He's strong enough when he doesn't cheat, and when he does he's deadly. I'm also pretty sure he can create tornadoes and stuff as well. Yeah, Balrog's got this one in the bag no matter what the Broker and Slag can do, unfortuantely.

So we have something interesting here. We actually have the author of the characters here. Deojusto, could you give us an idea on Slag's fighting styles. Balrog fights best with heavy defense (since he routinely fights projectile types, he must be quick on his toes) and when he gets openings he returns fire with quick jabbing combos. His power punches can leave you stunned immediately and if he gets an opening with his Gigaton Punch, you're dead.

So what's Slag's fighting style Deo? Does she stand and fight or will she hurl projectiles?

From what I have read Broker and Slag win. Slag's energy body abilities and and projectiles would take care of Balrog. You add in Broker who is definitely smart enough to out strategize Balrog if needed who isn't too brought to begin with they win. Calender Man will be cannon fodder and distract Sagat though get brutally murdered in the process. Broker actually could help Calender Man distract Sagat if Slag doesn't need help  in beating Balrog which I don't think she will need.

From what I know of Balrog and Sagat, and from reading Broker and Slag(without reading anything else they might appear in), I'd say that Broker and Slag has it.  It probably won't be a quick finish, but from what I can see, they have it pretty comfortably.

Broker gives Calendar Man that uh PhotoVoltaic explosion power that he uses for expendables and all of a sudden, Calendar Man is a veritable powerhouse. He walks up to Balrog, drawing energy all the while. Balrog punches him and everyone in the stadium who isn't made of metal or protected by such dies instantly.

I guess Slag's fighting style is more balanced, she's got superior level projectiles and superior level energy body so she's dangerous up close and at a distance, but more at a distance. In this type of fight though I think she'd power up on magma armor just in case then start spamming with the ore balls, which have a tendency to spread over a wide area like a scatter gun. She regenerates health back over time so the longer the fight the better.

However if this becomes a Broker fight its a whole 'nother matter. Broker's the main threat, Slag is just his muscle. While he may not look like much himself, he is a lex-luthory type who uses his ability to give other people powers to its fullest extent. Slag is his weapon of choice, and he can change her power set at will up to supreme level, duplicating an army of Slags to dogpile the fighters, turning her into a walking Chernobyl that melts anyone who gets near, or even creating mind-master Slag who can force Sagat to choke Balrog with his bare hands. Also yes, as Pseudo suggested, he could just turn calendar man into an unwilling suicide bomb and have Slag toss him at the enemy. But CM's got the shard, so he gets a temporary pass.

He stole the shard!  I'm surprised ya'll haven't put a foot up his arse.

Oh it's coming. I'm just a tad busy with the street fighters you sicked on me.

I've altered the main Khazan Falling thread to say that Calendar Man stole the shard as an April Fools joke after the battle with Balrog. No continuity problems now I guess.
