  1. Oswald: What an upset folks! Hawkman has defied the odds and defeated Kharne! He will be moving onto the semi-finals! Excitement like this is once in a lifetime here at the GCGBT! *Replays of the previous match project onto the holo-screen as Oswald narrates.* Oswald: Here is the replay now. Hawkman had Kharne on the backfoot and worked most the match in the air. A strategy of driving his opponents to the edge of the ring isn't a bad one. But it didn't last long. *Replay shows Kharne finally catching Hawkman during another dive, gripping him by his wing and slinging him into the ring beneath him. Kharne quickly capitalized by putting the weight of his boot on Hawkman's chest.* Oswald: See here is where the trouble starts. That crushing boot of Kharne forcing the blood from the hero's mouth. I thought he was done for sure. *In a desperate move, Hawkman manages to throw his mace and strike Kharne's helmet. This gives him just enough room to get from under Kharne and tackle him at full force.* Oswald: It's here that you see the true desperation, he's throwing punches with little effect but the ferocity is uncanny. Kharne can't mount a defense until he pushes him away but by then it's too late. *The hulking space marine takes one too many steps back and his backfoot lands outside the ring. A gong sounds, signifying the end of the match. Kharne screamed in frustration as Hawkman's arm was raised.* Oswald: It all seemed over from there. A shocking win to a true superhero. But it looked as though Kharne wasn't having any of it! *In the final part of the replay, Kharne rushed back into the ring wielding his axe high to strike down his former opponent. But before he could make any aggression, he was teleported away.* Oswald: Of course the Betrayer wouldn't follow the rules. He wanted some revenge but I guess he'll have to find it back in his own universe. And with that out of the way and the ring repaired, let us move onto the next match! *A video package plays. Heracles and Darth Bane are voicing over edited footage of their past matches in the tournament.* Heracles: The burden of my labors have brought me this far. I have conquered foes from ocean to ocean, and from fields far and wide. Darth Bane: I'm told my opponent tonight is a man of honor. He fights for the glory of some gods he believes in. I wonder though, has he met a god? Because he will very soon. Heracles: I respect those that have fought me so far. Each one of them needed to best me and I could see it in their eyes. Alas, they didn't have my measure. Heracles has yet to meet his match. Darth Bane: Tonight, those in the crowd will bare witness to the true might of the dark side of the force. A power that has no equal. I will bury this champion of earth. Heracles: Bane will fall beneath the might of Heracles, whose destiny lies at the top of the mountain. I will not stop until I've earned my glory. *The video package ends. The arena goes dark for a moment, then the lights return to see Heracles and Darth Bane facing each other in the middle of the ring.* Oswald: Well folks, I say it's about time for a battle! _______________________________________________________________________ Heracles VS Darth Bane Each combatant will have respected powers and equipment that they can carry into the ring. No outside help or influence. Combatants have basic knowledge of each other from watching the previous rounds. Tournament standard ring from Dragon Ball. Ring Out, Knockout, or Death all count as elimination
  2. I hadn't thought about that but you're right, Kharne makes a good enemy for Hawkman. Hawkman has the speed and flight advantage, but Kharne is a brutal warrior that I'm not sure anyone could handle one on one... I'm torn on a vote either way.
  3. Yeah it's pretty effective in combat. And it's something Joestar would have little ways to counter.
  4. I'm glad you all are enjoying it so far! And yeah, of course captain hook stood no chance. I was going to share Peter Pan's RT, But it wasn't very impressive. I think he could probably escape capture, but Cad Bane is an expert at the cat and mouse game. He gets my vote.
  5. I hadn't thought about how hamon may affect Thane in that he is a Drell. That's a good point to make because that could seriously hurt his chances. Basically he has to go into this fight quick and try to win like he would a job. Thing is he can't kill here so that might make him slip up. For that reason, I say Jonathan takes this at least 6/10. That said, if any help is needed on Thane here is his RT. https://www.reddit.com/r/respectthreads/comments/epku22/respect_thane_krios_mass_effect/
  6. Can't say I'm familiar with either but I think I remember them from the past parts. It's been awhile. From my research, I think I'm in Galtar's corner. And this is another good portion of the story. Nice job dude.
  7. The Grand Hunt Round TWO Capture or Kill the Target: (Peter Pan) Two Days Before on Hunter’s Point (Commissioner’s Base of Operations) Midas eyed his new Commissioner from across the table as he looked over the candidate files. “I am curious,” the strange Commissioner asked, matching Midas’ gaze with his own crooked grin. “Why only nine?” “I know, it’s a small group," Midas replied. "But remember, this is a single project among many. I don’t have the manpower to coordinate dozens of bounty hunters. Hence, why I hired you.” The Commissioner thought on this for a moment, then said quietly, “More people, more questions. More... problems? Hmm, yes I think so.” “Do you have anything else? I’d like to get started," Midas was annoyed. He didn't like being questioned. “Yes, this,” The Commissioner slid two open files to Midas. “Samus and Aloy. What about them?” “Caution," The Commissioner emphasized his point by widening his eyes. "They have heroes' hearts and will bite at the first sign of villainy. They have considerable skill that you can not deal with at this juncture.” “That’s what the challenges are for. Soften 'em up and make 'em too weary from battle to see what we’re doing. And even if that don't cut, I’m working on a more secure solution outside of you and this conversation.” “Another employee? Should I be concerned about my position here?” The Commissioner gave a look of puzzlement, but Midas knew it was just another way to annoy him. Midas took a drag from his cigarette. “Enough questions, Com. You know why you’re here. Get to sending our guests their invitations.” “Of course… sir.” Jolly Roger, Neverland Cad let the fire burn behind him as he fired another blaster bolt into the pirate’s stomach. “SMEE!” Captain Hook shouted, watching his first mate fall to his knees, dead in seconds. He wanted to get up, to help his mates. But he knew he'd been beat. Cad pointed his blaster at the Captain below him. “You’ll be next if you don’t do as I say,” “You monster!" Hook replied. "And I thought I was evil.” “Buddy, you ain’t seen evil a day in your life. Now,” Cad pulled back the lever of his blaster. “I’m going to ask you one last time, where is Peter Pan?” The red coated captain spit blood from his mouth, aiming for Cad Bane but missed poorly. “I’d rather die. In fact, go ahead and end it. And if I find you when I inevitably return, you best expect a hook inside your back.” Cad obliged the man and pulled the trigger of his blaster, ending the captain’s life. The air grew still in that moment, like it did after every time he took a life. Cad was starting to enjoy that silence when he felt eyes staring back at him. He barely had to turn to see who it was, Peter Pan standing in the eagle’s nest of this ship, arms bent and fists resting on his waist like some hero. “You’re a little late, pal. Had to make my own fun,” Cad flicked the toothpick from his mouth. “You’re kind isn’t welcome here in Neverland. Leave now!” Peter Pan demanded. “Real convincing with that gitup, ain’t ya?” Cad pulled his blaster quick and fired, hoping to hit his mark and take his reward.
  8. Oswald: Oh boy Oh boy! Welcome ladies and gents to the next exciting round of the Grand Cross-Galactic Budokai Tenkaichi! *Fireworks pelt the sky above the arena. Lights flash across the faces of millions sitting in the audience. A red banner made of holographic images fly by, showcasing the upcoming fight.* Gex: I'm not going to lie Oz, I'm actually hyped about the rest of this show. Oswald: Really? Gex: Yeah, now that the b-list competitors are out of here we can watch fights with real men. Just like the ones in our next match. Oswald: That's incredibly misogynistic, Gex. There is still one woman in this tournament. Gex: I don't think she minds being called a man. J.R: Get your head out of 1999, Gex. I shouldn't be the one to tell you that times have changed. Need I remind you that a female won our last tournament? Gex: Do you honestly think I forgot about the lovely legs of one Ms. She-Hulk? Give me some credit gentlemen. I never forget a pair of legs- J.R: That's it! *J.R. swings a haymaker into Gex's snout, knocking him unconscious. The two are escorted from the announcer's table. The camera centers back on Oswald the Lucky Rabbit* Oswald: Well, at least we made two whole rounds without controversy so I'll take that as a win. Anyways, as our competitors make their way to the ring, let's bring out two of their opponents from early tonight. *Green Arrow and Callisto join Oswald on commentary.* Arrow: Thanks for having us, Oswald. It's a pleasure to be so far from the ring for a change. Callisto: Spoken like a true coward. *The trio share a laugh.* Oswald: I'm glad you both are here, regardless. Now I know it's a shame not seeing yourself up on that stage but let's be honest, who'd want to face either of these men? Green Arrow, your match against Carter Hall was a memorable opener for the tournament. You should be proud of that. But I got to ask, what can Kharn the Betrayer do that you failed to do? Arrow: Well for starters, not fight with arrows. I don't recommend it. *Oswald gives a laugh then turns to Callisto.* Oswald: What say you, Callisto? Does Kharn have everything he needs to win this fight or does he need to rethink his strategy he's used so far? Callisto: Honestly, I don't think he should be worried. He beat me and a demon, I don't think anything is strong enough to stop him at this point. Unless you're hiding a god backstage Ozzy. *Oswald blushes, then directs the camera to the ring.* Oswald: Point taken! Let's see how this unfolds now as Hawkman and Kharn face one another in combat! Boy this crowd is going to eat this up. _______________________________________________________________________ Hawkman VS Kharn the Betrayer Each combatant will have respected powers and equipment that they can carry into the ring. 9. The zord does a massive help. That combined with Captain Planet makes a strong case for a win but these three minions go blow for blow with dbz characters. Dabura is especially strong and held his own against adult gohan. Also, these three have unique abilities that might give them an edge, or at least make stopping them that much harder.
  10. Love the sudden use of Joestars on rated lol I love Joseph in this era and think this is a fitting fight. Feels classic and the kind of match you'd see back in the day. Good set up and I think this will be brutal fight, but not an easy one for Joseph. Cap has superior skill in combat and that damn shield will soak up Joe's hamon. That said, Bucky will be in over his head for the git-go and get K.Od. That leaves Cap to fight Joe one on one were the chances are about even.
