  1. So naturally a battledroid, is better then a protocol droid because a protocol droid is not for war, where as the battledroid is. You seem to under stand the comparison, but still try and write it off. For the record modern bounty hunters make regular and effective use of SUV's and other non-military vehicles. Maybe off poorly constructed droids. Frankly the Chewbacca rips arms off thing. Is a misunderstanding of the line in "A New Hope" where they talk about wookies pulling your arm out of socket. As dislocating it, not pulling it completely off. So now Chewy can hit as hard as tumbling off a cliff or being slammed around by a nuke? He can do more damage in a single hit as ten rounds of class 1 hits. Chewy is the strongest person in the match, but don't be silly. What? Some people believe that only the movies are canon based on what Lucas said others have a different take on canon based mostly on sources other then Lucas. Now one of the schools of thought on Star Wars canon suggests that while the movies are the be all sources. That if EU information isn't in conflict(what constitutes conflict is just as up in the air) with them then it can be accepted as lower canon(or official, again terminology depends on the source). As for your feelings about Lucas, it doesn't effect much. Star Wars is still his to do with as he pleases.
  2. Rambo has never shown Indy's striking power. That is to say sending men flying back ten feet with a blow or KO two guys with the same hit and while he has some feat that are cloth he still can't match the nuke or cliff ride. Nor as he pulled the quick draws(read reaction time) that Indy has. We have no durability feats from Chewy, no skill feats from Chew, and rare strength feats. Meaning that a trained fighter like Rocky should have no problem getting inside his guard and still not getting pummeled. Nor do the strength feats from Chewy put him so far above Drago, that Balboa won't be able to soak some hits. Mind you as I said he won't have to soak nearly as many as Chewy lacks Drago's speed and skill. Honestly though given his size, reach, and displayed strength Chewy has a fair chance at winning. Though a still think Rocco takes the majority. Oh sure, not saying Henry is going to win, in fact one on one. He has a good chance at loosing, but in this scenario all he has to do is hold out long enough for Indy to take Rambo or Rocky to survive Chewy.
  3. Many weapons systems are as cheap as the government using them can get them and are mass produced, but even the most mass produced APC is going to have better survivability then and SUV. What?
  4. How so? Indy has just as many if not more kills to his name then Rambo, survived sh!t that would put the hurt on Rambo. Displayed just as much if not more martial prowess. Has better reaction time, just as crazy on the fly tactics, I don't remember Rambo crippling tank with rock etc. In other words Indy is just as tough and frankly perhaps more ruthless then Rambo, who when it comes down to it is often doesn't like to fight(tends to be a last resort for him). Where as Indy is a bit more comfortable with just blasting some body. He's never had the moral problem with it that Rambo has. Drago could hit with a ton of force and one arm lift grown men. Chewy has no feats that put him considerable out side of this range. Not to mention his is slower then Drago, nor did he display the kind of skill Drago had. Meaning he won't be landing as many hits. Rocky besides his wicked soak also displayed enough hitting power to raise men off the mat. Meaning he hits with a fair amount of force. At least coupled with his soak and superior skill to put Chewy, who is stronger then him, but lacks his skill and with out any feats his soak, on the ropes. Can Han beat Jones Sr. Probable, will he have to work for it. Based on the couple of fights we see both of them in on screen. Yes.
  5. Fan Art may not always be signed, but then neither is official art. How ever its not unheard of or even uncommon for fans to sign their work.
  6. In the same statement he referred to the EU as an alternate reality like looking at Star Wars threw a foggy window or some such. As such said statement has been interpreted as you have, but it has also been interpreted to mean that the movies(acknowledged primary canon by all sources) and the EU(comic, books, games, comics etc) exist in separate time lines and as such do not share canonicty.
  7. Its from The Art of Star Wars volume 4. A collection of art from the Topps card line. As some who has some of the cards in the line I can tell you, it includes things like speculative art and art that the authors themselves consider to be from an alternate reality. On another note canon and official are different things and at different levels in the hierarchy of things.
  8. Well. To begin with I for one have no flippin clue what it is from. Secondly according to certain takes on Star Wars canon. Nothing, but the movies are canon. So its your belief that Battledroids manufactured expressly for combat are of weaker construction then translator droids. Sorry that doesn't even begin to make sense. How ever. Even if we front Chewy his possible non-canon feats. It doesn't matter he isn't going to be putting out as much hurt as driving a tank off a cliff or getting rocked by an atomic explosion. Heck Rocco is going to be able to soak a lot of Chewy's blows considering the soak he displayed against Drago who could hit with a ton(like 2,000+PSI) force and even Thunderlips who was throwing 200LBS guys the better part of 20ft.
  9. I am not sure why a name on Chewy's chest matters so much to you guys. Fan Artists sign their work as well, not to mention the fact that it is signed, means that it is likely a promotional piece vs some thing out of a comic. Making its validity even more questionable.
  10. Whether its canon or not depends on how you view Star Wars canon. Some consider the EU canon, while others do not. Common sense suggests that battledroids should be better construct then protocol or other non-labor service droids. As for 3PO where as blaster bolts often do little damage leaving scorch marks or burns etc. He was in pieces after taking a hit.
  11. Where is that picture from. Could be fan art as easy as anything else. Heck even if its from a comic. It's questionable whether it counts. All depending on how you feel about the validity of the Star Wars EU. How ever lets for a moment accept it. Chewbacca ripped the arm off a protocol droid or something similar. Consider the kind of damage 3PO from a single blaster bolt and that if I am not mistaken Jar Jar kicked the head off a battle droid. Its not that impressive of a feat.
  12. Chewy has never ripped the arms off anything. Dialogue indicates that he can pull arms out of sockets, but thats about it. Considering the things that Indy has soaked over the years. Like surviving an atomic bomb, riding a tank off a cliff etc. Aside from the more mundane stuff like being beaten, dragged behind vehicles, shot etc, etc. Chewy'd have a rough time hurting him. Now you may be questioning whether Indy can hurt Chewy, well Indy was able to send a large Thuggee flying back like ten feet with a single blow and KO two guys with the same hit. As for Rambo being a war vet, so is Indy. In fact he is veteran of both World War 1 and 2. That is aside from the smaller regional conflicts he has found himself part of. If we are picking and choosing one on one matches Indy takes on Rambo, while Rocky pummels Chewy, and Jones Sr throws down with Solo. Again though Indy'd have a fair shot at this as a three on one handicap match.
  13. I have to agree with the, Zuko is good enough at bending(fire manipulation) to not get out right trounced and his martial prowess is enough to win the day, crowd.
  14. Indy could damn near solo the other team. With help from guys like Rocky and Jones Sr. Indy and company have it in the bag. As for Chewy being a deciding factor, he's not Indy has put down things a lot tougher then Chewy was shown to be. Frankly the toughest to kill on the first team is going to be Rambo.
  15. This is just silly. Daredevil being a comic book character can, you know flip limos and deflect bullets, Tank shots from the likes of Mr. Hyde and if I am not mistaken the Hulk etc, etc. In short this fight is over before Norris and Lee even realize they are in a fight. Daredevil blitz and one shots both of them. This is not a slam on Lee or to a larger degree Norris, as he is an actually martial arts champion. With a recorded career. Unlike Lee who has limited to no real documented fights/wins. Its just that they are up against a comic book character who regularly performs feats well outside of even the most gifted real world athletes. Frankly Daredevil could probably KO these two. Then own the entire roster(s) of UFC, Strikeforce, K-1, and Pride with out even breaking a sweat. The man goes threw dozens of ninjas, goons, and thugs on a regular basis after all.
  16. If Buffy is any indication. Faith is both stronger and faster then Blade(movie Blade anyhow). Though not as durable, but her higher reaction time and own enhanced durability should make up the difference. Remember while he didn't exactly win Blade held his own against Nomak. Given her(Faith) superior attributes(to Blade) and weapons load, not to mention that all she really has to do is cut down Buffy. Faith should be able to pull out a win here.
  17. Buffyverse vamps die from decapitation. Which can be done with a sword, is a manner of killing Connor is rather familiar with, and he will be trying for if he believes Spike to be an Immortal.
  18. Immortals seem to have some level of super strength as well though. Seeing as errent sword blows were seen to cut threw stone and metal. Then their was the Kurgan who could straight one arm lift grown men and punch threw the top of a car. While we don't know what effect it has. Garlic has been seen in Buffy's anti-vamp kits before and I think as ward against vampires. Though we have never seen it make contact so again its full effects are unknown. Though one imagines its similiar to holy water or crosses. As for the fight. I'd give it to Connor for his some 300yr experience advantage and more time/practice/skill with bladed weapons.
