  1. I'm gonna go for Deadpool here. In terms of weapons, martial arts etc both are pretty good.

But Deathstroke so far as I can tell is the type to think logically.

With his Jack Sparrow-ish brain, Deadpool can PERHAPS out think Deathstroke. Or at the very least, it would be a draw there.

Next, Optimus Luthor missed a certain advantage to Deadpools arsenal. His teleportation. Thats another advantage to Deadpool right there.

Also c'mon, "Skillful manipulation?" Skillful Deathstroke may be, but Deadpools no slouch there either. This is the guy who took down an entire Skrull force invasion all by himself. Using his wits I might add.

As to comparing Wolverine to Batman, people!

The Batman DOES NOT KILL! Wolverine on the other hand.....

Finally, the last point in Deadpools favor. The guy has a sense of humor. Deathstroke on the other hand is your basic stick-in-the-mud who can't even eliminate Batmans boy-toy and his posse.

    So Deadpool for the win!

  2. Hello. Did you ever just play video games and the plot was so crappy that you just couldn't take it? Or played a game that made you want to send a letter bomb to the creators? Well on this forum, our aim is to take our ideas for great games for all to see and hope, that someone from their respective companies are reading this. This means YOU. You know who you are. :D

An example is this. A perfect game for me would be to take the Metal Gear Solid series and combine it with Resident Evil. It could be called, "Metal Gear Solid: The Shadow of Umbrella." You could play as Solid Snake in a RE based world. It would be so awesome.

Now please excuse me as I weep over the odds of this idea ever happening. : (

  3. Well Jadel94 you're forgetting that Deathstroke has healing factor and can use 90% of his brain so he'll figure out how to get by the force...I'm not being biased i'm saying how it's not so cut-and-dry :)

I don't know about that. From the set-up earlier, we know the force can stop an UZI. So we can logically assume that guns won't work.

    Vader:1, Deathstroke:0

Next, I can't see that sword standing up to a lightsaber either.

    Vader:2, Deathstroke:0

Even if Deathstroke tries to run to rethink his strategies, Vader can simply sense him and grab him with the Force before he gets away. And don't give me that crap about Deathstrokes "strong will." Vader is famous for hunting Jedi and they SPECIALIZE in mind-tricks. He'll find Deathstroke easily.

    Vader:3, Deathstroke:0

Plus, to top it off.... Vader has had experience fighting Boba Fett. I don't think Deathstroke would be anything more then a warm up after that.

Conclusion? Vader STOMPS Deathstroke and keeps his mask(with the head still in it) as a trophy for his mantle.

  4. Pretty good story Hugo.

    What you think of mine?

I like it. It shows imagination and a good deal of thought into what you like. You know that anything less would be an insult to the characters your using, and thus you put in more effort. Trust me, it shows.

  5. To all: Use Microsoft Word. Spell check. Re-read your writings again and again and again.

To Darth Sketch: Very good. Kept me interested. Minor spelling errors. Nothing extremely major wrong with it for me. Keep up the good CBUB work. Some of the better stuff I've read on it.

To Hugo Fowl: It's a little basic, very assuming. Be more descriptive. You talk of a book and spells, but what book? I want to know more about this book that can tell you where to conquer other worlds. Who wrote that? Be more descriptive and tell the full story. I can say this, because I have the same problem sometimes, regardless, it doesn't build any tension or drama. I need some drama! Grammar is fine. It's easily readable, except this line: "In a calm voice devoid of the fear that usually accompanied those Sauron conversed said" WTF! This line is awful. Is it a run on sentence? I don't know, but it surely doesn't read well. Try this..."In a calm voice, devoid of the fear usually accompanied by those Sauron conversed with, the Lion replied" See commas work wonders in how you read a sentence. Next, the very first word you use in the story is "imagine" You're telling us to Imagine that Sauron claimed the ring? This is CBUB. We are already imagining everything. Don't tell us, show us. Describe it. It's your world/story. Tell us it happened, we'll believe you.

    Thank you, that's very helpful.

  6. Hello. I'm a newbie and this is one of my better battles. From a writers viewpoint, how is it?

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Imagine that Sauron manages to claim the Ring and eventually becomes lord of Middle-Earth. After a while, a certain book from Isengaurd is brought before him. It tells of other lands, other worlds ripe for conquest. After months of preparation, Sauron performs the spell and opens a permanent portal to the closest world...Narnia.

From what seems to be a long deserted castle, the Lord of the Ring sets foot. It was once a place of Dark enchantment and would serve him well in his campaign. As he strides forward he pauses and turns slowly. There padding softly to him is a lion unlike any Sauron has seen. For a long time, both simply stand there eye-to-eye. Finally, Sauron speaks.

"What manner of Valar are you that radiates with power not unlike my own?"

In a calm voice devoid of the fear that usually accompanied those Sauron conversed said "One who has long since watched over this land since the beginning."

    "I am here to conquer."

    "I know."

"You can bow to me or perish where you stand."

"You can try, but who is to say you'll succed?"

    "YOU DARE-?!"

"Is this your final word Sauron?"

    "LORD Sauron, lion."

"Then we have nothing more to say to each other."

And before Sauron's eyes, the lion vanished without a trace. After a few moments Sauron began to laugh. It started out as a chuckle before exploding into full-on laughter which rang across the castle with cold madness. As though in reply, the Nazgul screeched before flying out of the portal into the new world for their Master. The War of the Lion and the Eye had begun.

I'm an aspiring writer and I regard forums like this great practice.

  7. mystique wins as she cant possibly be discovered

Yeah, but she doesn't know what Boba Fett looks like either. All he has to do is dicard the armor and wait for her to reveal herself and then finish the job. Plus, I would think that he already has experience with shapeshifters from his galaxy. After that, it'd be easy.

  8. Ah, but remember each hunter has to locate Riddick AND bring him back alive past the zombies and who-knows what else. Plus seriously...Its Riddick. If we know our favorite convict like we do, he's not going down without a fight. Snake could find Riddick first...Maybe. He's pretty sneaky and could find the best hiding places also. Bonnie... Keeps a freaking ARSENAL in that basket of hers from flamethrowers to Rocket-launchers. So she's pretty stacked there like Fett. So in the end, its really a question as to who can handle Riddick the best also.

  9. Tsk, tsk. Such animosity over something so obvious.

Blade has the strength required in this mission. Van Helsing has both the strength AND the skill to still stand at the end of the night. Whatever defects one would expect from Blade, Van Helsings vast experience would be enough to balance it out. Also as to the "Demon" thing, their not fighting Demons. Their fighting VAMPIRES people! Bloodsuckers! Vamps! If I put my money on a team, it would go to the original vampire hunter and his brutish sidekick.

Van Helsing and Blade all the way!!

  10. New Player: Scarecrow

From the other side of the city, I sat watching the news in my lair, surrounded by the dregs and scum of Gotham city. Though my eyes are fixed upon the screen, my mind is elsewhere. On the Bat. For a moment, the delicious tingle of fear courses through my body as I remember him. Like a shadow in my twisted mind. A pity I couldn't secure the body. Who knows how many secrets were lost in that enviable brain of his?

Abruptly one of my goons call out "boss, look at the news!" Startled out of my musing, my mind switches to reality as Gotham News shows a battle unlike any I have seen. I recognize three of my colleagues, Firefly, that idiot Joker and Bane. I calculate for a brief moment before standing up. "Get ready men." My smile disappears as the mask of the Scarecrow covers it. "It seems we have a party to crash."

  11. Hannibel is far more clever and devious than the Joker. He would either talk the other inmates into killing him, or catch alone and slit his throat.

Admittedly, I'm leaning toward Dr Lecter. But at the same time I wouldn't put the Joker out in the cold either. Remember, this is a man whose made a career of tormenting his worlds greatest analytical mind. Who know what tricks lie hidden in that head of his? The only question is whether Dr Lecter can predict the unpredictable. Or in the words of Scarecrow "out there he was a giant. In here, only the mind can grant you power."

  12. This sucks................alot.............what's the goal.............

Ah. My apologies, I forgot to write that more clearly. *ahem*.

Hannibal Lecter is attempting to take over Arkham from the inside to turn it into his private playground of insanity. The most infamous patient, the Joker sees through him however and rebels against him with the few villains hes recruited. However, Lecter's silver tongue has managed to charm a few of the inmates on his side. So with the rule of Arkham as his spur, can Hannibal Lecter triumph or will it be his final stay among the crazed and insane?

Hope that explains more to you.

  13. Sarah Conner hands down.

She spent most of her life with the most hardcore mercs before she went to the loony bin.

Who knows? Maybe she picked up a few tips from some of the guys on the list.

I can see her meeting Rambo and learning from him. Plus, she knows how to use the majority of firearms/blades, etc known to man (and terminator).

Plus, with someone whose used to fighting hard-to-kill robots a few fleshy, dumb zombies would be a cakewalk.

So Sarah Conner for the win!!
