His tour of Japan had gone well. He had seen the sights, made some good connections and sent a young SLJ to the ER and possibly to the grave. All in all, it was a good trip for Felix Friendly. It WAS a good trip. Standing in front of the terminal of his private jet was a large Japanese man. A very large Japanese man. Dressed in a traditional Japanese kimono, the man didn’t seem very pleased to see him. His face seemed chiseled out of stone and his body brimmed with muscle. Although he stood peacefully with his hand behind his back, something within his presence exuded a threat - a dangerous threat. Felix took his hands out of his pockets and coolly loosened his tie. “So is this where you want to die?†He said calmly with a smile. The fierce looking man raised his chin, but before he could speak Felix cut him off. “You do realize that I am evolutionarily gifted… and you are not? Do you speak English? Do you know what that means?†Masuta Tengoku said nothing. His face stoic. “Very well then, you won’t speak.†The giant of a man grimaced, “You talk too much.†Felix’s smile grew even wider. “I do more than that.†He taunted. Masuta Tengoku stepped forward and then turned towards the terminal. With a quick thrust, he sent an unseen force that decimated the entranceway to the jet and continued to press forward, crushing the doorway into shrapnel. The shrapnel that was the doorway fell to the runway far below with a loud crash. “That was uncalled for.†Felix said as he rolled up his sleeves. “The young man you sent to the emergency room was my student.†“That punk kid? The one with the spiky hair?†“Silver Guardian.†“A stupid name for a stupid kid. I asked him to name my crime and instead, he attacked me. I protected myself in self-defense. Do you wish to also break the law Sentinel? I thought you all upheld the laws of the Un-Spectacular, it appears you are merely thugs.†“Long is the night to him who is awake; long is a mile to him who is tired; long is life to the foolish who do not know the true law. Rebuke your ways Mr. Friendly. Come with me in goodwill and I will show you the inner peace that you seek.†“You’re right about one thing. One of us will live a long life.†Masuta bows quaintly, breathes in deep and exhales, “Buddha bless you.â€

Create the perfect seven member FPL team using any character from the current active database or any current FPL character from the historical Famous or Main Event winner database. Each of your seven characters must fall into these archetypes. Have fun. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Leader: Reed Richards, Magneto Takes charge and makes sure things get done. May not come up with the plans but oversees their execution. The Stolid: Thing, Cylops Doesn't change much. Always a reliable member of the team. You can count on them covering your back. The Wildcard: Gambit Has their own agenda. Usually very colorful. Will be valuable to the team but may not always follow orders depending on their own needs/plans. The Genius: Hank McCoy (Beast), Batman Comes up with the ideas. Often consulted for their vast knowledge or superhuman cunning. The Load/Comic Relief: Invisible Girl, The Wasp, Jubilee, Wonder Twins Often needs help from other team members. Often young or along because of a relationship to another team member. The Nutjob: Wolverine, Black Knight, The Hulk, Lobo, Rorschach Unpredictable, dangerous (sometimes sociopathic), and difficult to control or even influence. Why they are part of the team -- who knows? But when it comes to the dirty jobs, they get them done. The Diplomat: Dr. Xavier Deals with the "normals" on behalf of the team. Often acts as a "face-man" or smooths over problems with the authorities.

No thought, predictions or outbursts about the newest round? The excitement of this tournament will determine if I put the time and effort into a follow up tournament. So far... I'm meh'ing (Except for the great enthuisiam I'm getting from Exal, Nihilwhatever, Landon and a few others in their fics and/or set ups. -
I need to do one for Tony and see what I get.

Masuta Tengoku Lawful Good A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps her word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion.

Predict14? Looks like Field Day is in session.

Marshall Percy Chaotic Evil A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, chaotic evil people can only be made to work together by force, and their leader lasts only as long as he can thwart attempts to topple or assassinate him. The demented sorcerer pursuing mad schemes of vengeance and havoc is chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is sometimes called "demonic" because demons are the epitome of chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is the most dangerous alignment because it represents the destruction not only of beauty and life but of the order on which beauty and life depend.
-
Harvey Knoxville Chaotic Neutral A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn’t strive to protect others’ freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. The chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). The common phrase for chaotic neutral is "true chaotic." Remember that the chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom both from society’s restrictions and from a do-gooder’s zeal.

Round 2 is up. Vets, you may hate me now. -
A Requite for Sollus: Round 2, Fight 4 The Rise of the Supermen “So by this time, fights were springing up all over Khazan. It was nuts son. Heroes were fighting heroes while the real bad guys were running rampant all over town. Sollus’ archenemies were having their way with the city. By this time, the incident had national media exposure. They had completely sealed off Khazan from any incoming civilians. Due to most of the heroes being subdued, the local military had to try and deal with the major threats of Korgos and his gang. It wasn’t going well. Someone had to break the heroes up and organize a strike. That’s when she showed up.†“Who pop pop?†“She was a goddess son. A real goddess. Well this Steel Maiden had been talking a lot of junk all over the T.V. for a while now. She was dead-set on taking out whoever had killed Sollus and she wasn’t letting anybody stand in her way. And quite honestly, we didn’t think anybody could. Of course, that was before the man from another time showed up. “ “Another time?†“Well, I don’t think it was our timeline. We’re not sure where he came from. His name was Strayne or something. This guy… he looked just like Sollus. Different costume, but the similarities were uncanny.†“So finally, a team-up to clean up the mess.†“Not exactly. Strayne came in and was laying the smack down when suddenly…†“Let me guess, he got hit by another hero.†“You got it. Ha ha! That Steel Maiden laid into him like D-Day. Apparently, the girl didn’t take kindly to some guy flying around pretending to be Sollus or at least looking like him.†“But the city… the bad guys!†“This was a woman in love son. One day, you’ll understand.â€

A Requite for Sollus: Round 2, Fight 3 The Rise of the Supermen “You want to talk confusion. I’ll tell you about confusion. Perhaps the worst debacle of that day was the Count and Erebus.†“The who and the what?†“Nineties heroes boy. Erebus was another one of those extreme 90’s types. In my youth, we had heroes like Sgt. Knoxville and Blind Mike. In your father’s time, they had vigilantes like Erebus. It just wasn’t right for a so-called hero to have so much power and be so stupid. I mean, you have a guy like the Count who is trying to change his life around. “The Count?†“Right, he was a former villain. Had an encounter with Sollus and turned into a good guy.†“Sweet.†“He was alright. A bit of a screw up, but he turned out okay. He was trying his darndest to help those innocents. He was in the crowd getting people to safety, when boom… out of nowhere, that black streak known as Erebus slams into him.†“But why? Why would he fight a hero?†“He had just reformed. A lot of the old crowd still knew him as a villain. Plus, he was kinda screwing up the rescue and evacuation process. It looked like he was killing people right there with Korgos and Poisonus. The Count and Erebus… that was a nasty fight.â€

A Requite for Sollus: Round 2, Fight 2 The Rise of the Supermen “I take that back, son. There is something’s I’ve seen may be stranger than that Crow-Man.†“What’s that pop?†“Magical Girls. One thing for sure about the 90’s, they were a time of extremes… and there was no team more extreme than H.I.M.E. I mean, you’re a little young for this but those were some odd girls. Your dad, he was into this anime thing back then.†“Dad, everybody is into anime.†“Yeah, well back then it was just strange. None of it made sense. Those girls didn’t make sense. They were strange. When they showed up, I couldn’t tell if they were good or bad or under some sort of control or what? It was all just strange…†“Magical girls are the best. I bet they ended those villains.†“You would bet wrong. There was so much chaos. The girls showed up and their way of dealing with the bad guys with Extreme prejudice may have been misinterpreted by other heroes, because their type of justice brought a guy into the fray who claimed to be a god.†“Thor?†“No.†“Ares†“No.†“Kratos†“Who? No no no…Perni.†“Never heard of him.†“Well neither had we, but he showed up like a streaking comet from heaven. He showed up with a vengeance. Attacked the wrong people, but he did it with a vengeance. Looking back, there was a lot of confusion that day.â€

A Requite for Sollus: Round 2, Fight 1 The Rise of the Supermen “Never forget… that’s what they say. Those terrorists… such evil and for what. But we never forgot the lives that were lost on the memorial of Sollus… and now all these years later, here we are again. But one thing I can say about this crop of heroes that arrived after the death of Sollus, they were all dedicated to protecting the memory of that great man in some way. That and they were all powerhouses like nothing the world had witnessed before. These were probably the most powerful heroes in the entire world. I tell ya, son. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life and I’ve seen plenty. Those criminals, after they defeated the Jupiter League they went after the citizens--the innocents. Mentis used some device he had created to start the riots which also kept the police busy. I know what you are thinking; we’re in Khazan… where the superheroes were. I mean yeah, some small-time heroes would show up, but something had amped up Mentis’ mind powers. He had control of what seemed like dozens of people. If someone too powerful showed up, he’d drop control of a few regulars and grab ahold of the supers. Then he’d send the supers after the regulars. It was a mess. It was the perfect diversion for any superhero that tried to intervene. See son, heroes always try to save innocent civilians first. Prime Example... You probably don’t remember Ms. Perfect. Now there was a powerhouse. But, she wasn’t always a top tier heroine. We barely even knew who she was; well your dad knew who she was. He was in high school during that time. He had a huge crush on her. But after that day the world would know her. She and her Extracurriculars showed up and they immediately went to crowd control; creating a perimeter while Ms. Perfect went straight for her foe, Dr. Mentis. Little did she know, Mentis had put something in her mind. See, Mentis was a super-genius. That was his power. He captured Ms. Perfect once and well, he turned her into his living weapon, of sorts. No sooner did she go for him than he had control of her mind. She turned on her friends, beat them down within seconds. Next she began to leave the memorial and head for destroying the city like Dr. Mentis’ cohorts. She didn’t make it far. I’ve seen some weird things in my life, son. But this guy who appeared… this Crow-Man. Well, that took the cake. He appeared in a plume of feathers. Before Ms. Perfect could get ten feet away from the Sollus memorial, she was met with this strange new hero dressed like a Crow.†“Like that movie? What could Crow-Man do granddad?†“It seemed like anything he wanted to do and he was going to need every bit of that amazing ability, because that Ms. Perfect was coming at him like a bat out of hell.â€

I have an idea. Fill out one of these alignment tests in the voice of your character and see what you come up with.
