Batman Comic series

So I fell behind after the second or third issue. What would you suggest I do to catch up, and how many issues have come out? I'm talking about the one simply titled Batman.

I think we're up to 18. You missed most if not all of Death of the Family, which may be important later I'm guessing, so either buy the ones you missed or get a reacap of that plotline.

 

Edit: Also you might have missed court of owls; it's ok, has some cool art, but may not be as crucial to future stories in getting you up to speed.

Do what I did, and get the trades. Even Hardcovers are a much better buy on Amazon, than buying each individual issue.
