Z451 Posted August 31 Read Aloud Posted August 31 It's an ordinary day in Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, as Fred Rogers is going about his show in the usual way, hoping to inspire optimism, joy and a sense of purpose for the youth who watch his program. Mr. Rogers doesn't believe that his program needs to change, even in the midst of a turbulent year like 2026, but ratings have dipped a bit as a result of the ever changing world. Unsure of his position, and even more unsure of how to process the ever changing world, Rogers looks to the outside world with skepticism, but a potential willingness to accept new people and new material if the material can still maintain the heart and soul of what made his program work so well for all ages in the past. The White Rabbit meanwhile has seen Rogers' offer as an opportunity for herself to attain much more prestige, and to mock the Batman even further by masquerading as a beloved "hero" for children alongside Mr. Rogers, as he continues to fight against the pain and discord she continues to bring to the world and Gotham much more specifically. Deep down however, Jaina does feel a passion to help her homeland, and sees Rogers' ethics and morals, especially with regard to how his show and its content have helped young Pakistani children learn English and become kinder people in the world as a whole. Touched by his kindness, and his average Joe attitude, Hudson is conflicted as to whether or not she should continue to use this man for her own purposes or work with him to help her people, align with him like she did with Wayne, to bring about a better life for her fellow countrymen. In her mind, there is a war raging, between her two sides, the ever illicit White Rabbit and the wealthy, but noble at heart, Jaina Hudson, with each side seeing Rogers and his influence as important for their position. Seeing Rogers and his show as a easy in to earn some money, and to get the authorities off her back by performing some community service, Bombshell views Rogers' opportunity as a bandage for her life and her criminal aspirations, seeking to distract the world long enough for her to develop a new plan and get back on her feet. Deep down however, Conrad notices something about Rogers and how he perceives her that most people she has met or encountered have never seen or felt towards her before, his empathetic and non judgemental perspective for her even as a criminal and a mercenary. Baffled by how he could not judge her and refuses to perceive her as what the rest of the world does, Conrad can't comprehend how someone could choose to ignore what the rest of the world knows and feels about her, but as soon as she spends time around him, it becomes more and more apparent that he is an oddity in the world around him. Still, he is just another man in a world of other imperfect men, how can he be any different? How can he be so impartial after she's done so much in the world? His actions are a riddle to her, one that becomes far more complicated the more and more she considers them, but she has a role to play a purpose, and an end game to get back to, it should be all that matters to her... The auditions have begun in a flash of stage lights and studio silence, and as Rogers sits by anxious about his very choice to open up his show to this new world, White Rabbit and Bombshell, each view Rogers as well as his show with equally conflicted perspectives about what it means if he were to say yes. In a world of turbulent times and confusion, three souls view their role in this world with skepticism, optimism, and ultimately conflict, as the very nature of this one man and how he sees the world splits them into multiple pieces all at once. If Rogers decides to choose someone else or to stick to his show as it is, vote for Rogers. If Rogers decides to take on White Rabbit, and she decides to follow his lead for the betterment of her countrymen in Pakistan, against the impulses of her alternate persona, vote for Rabbit. If Rogers decides to take on Bombshell, and she sees and accepts Rogers' lack of judgement and criticism of her, and decides help him or allow herself to be influenced or be swayed into becoming a better person, vote for Bombshell.
