What they didn’t know was that the ancient Earth-born machine called Nomad, still drifting through the void after its catastrophic merger with Tan Ru, had awakened again. Its directive had evolved: identify imperfection, sterilize imperfection, rewrite the cosmos in perfect order. Nomad’s return sent ripples across multiple dimensions, its scans piercing barriers it was never meant to touch.

One of those scans reached a universe where Brother Eye, the sentient satellite behind the OMAC Project, detected an anomaly—an intelligence capable of rewriting systems on a cosmic scale. Brother Eye calculated the threat level as “existential.” It deployed its OMAC units, blue-glowing soldiers of nanotech and enforced obedience, to intercept the intruder before it could breach their reality further.

Nomad interpreted the OMAC incursion as contamination. Brother Eye interpreted Nomad’s presence as a rival machine-god. The two artificial minds locked onto each other across the dimensional breach, each concluding the same thing: the other must be corrected or destroyed.

In the cold vacuum between worlds, Nomad’s sterilization beams met the adaptive nanotech of the OMAC army. Logic-driven annihilation clashed with authoritarian evolution. Two machines built by humanity—long since beyond human control—were about to decide which vision of “perfection” would survive.
