The gymnasium was still smoldering, the air thick with the stench of scorched wood and burning plastic. Flames flickered from the torn banners that once hung proudly for prom night, now nothing more than ash-stained tatters. Bodies lay scattered like broken dolls in a nightmare diorama, twisted in grotesque poses. Amid the wreckage, Carrie stood at the center of it all, her gown soaked in blood, her eyes wide, feral, heart thundering in her chest.

The power coursed through her, hot and wild, uncontrolled. She had become the storm, the disaster, the wrath of a thousand torments unleashed on a world that had laughed at her, scorned her. She panted, her knuckles whitening as her hands remained clenched at her sides.

She walked out of the gymnasium like a sleepwalker collapsing the doors behind her and trapping anyone who remained alive within. She knew the way home, as she walked down the road a car roared down the street intent on running her over. Carrie didn’t even hesitate as she flipped the car and ruptured the gastank killing the two occupants. She did it so casually it surprised even herself.

As the car smoldered behind her a voice cut through the crackle of flames, low and smooth. "You’ve only just begun to understand the extent of your power."

Carrie's head snapped toward the sound. Behind her in the middle of the street a man stood clad in a regal cape, and helmet, his blue eyes held an intensity Carrie had never seen before. She recoiled when she realized she could not read his mind, not even a whisper.

"Who are you?" Carrie’s voice trembled, a mix of fear and anger.

“Eric Lehnsher, but you may call me Magneto.” his tone was even almost fatherly, at least from what Carrie had heard from other fathers.  "I’ve come to offer you a place where you can be among those who understand what you are."

Carrie’s breath hitched, her mistrust flaring hot and fast. Everyone wanted something from her. Her mother had wanted her to stay small, controlled, god-fearing. Her classmates had wanted to humiliate her, break her. And this man, this stranger, what did he want?

Without a word Carrie ripped part of the undercarriage of the smoldering car and flung it at the stranger. The metal hurled forward and stopped as if a hand had blocked it. Carrie strained but it was no use as the chunk of metal was flung aside.

“Do not be foolish, child,” Magneto grunted. “You’re scared and confused. I understand.”

“You don’t know a thing about me!” Carrie bellowed as she flung shards of glass at the stranger, who managed to duck.

“You’re a mutant, like me, like us. Come, join us.”

“Shut up!” Carrie raged as she hit him with a telekinetic blast that managed to stagger him.

“Ooof.” Magneto grunted. “You are strong indeed. I can help you be stronger.”

Carrie staggered back, her chest heaving, eyes wild. "You’re just like the others. You want to use me."

The fight is on. Magneto is trying to hold back and Carrie is going full force while Magneto tries to sway her to his side.

Can Magneto sway an angsty rage fueled teenage girl to his side? Or will Carrie prove too much.

Magneto has got this easy. Angry girl with powers. She needs guidance, leadership. Someone who understands her pain. The Brotherhood just got a new member.

I miss villain Magneto.

I almost want to say Carrie in the scenario buy I feel like enough time as passed since the gymnasium massacre to when she meets Magneto in the set up. I think he can sway her to his Brotherhood

I echo all of this. Magneto is the master of magnetism in more ways than one. Angry at the world, he can convince you that the best path forward is under his guidance.
