JohnnyChany Posted February 25 Read Aloud Posted February 25 90s EXTREME TEAM TOURNEY THE AUTHORITY: 4 Points THE BRIGADE: 3 Points YOUNGBLOOD: 3 Points ULTRAFORCE: 2 Points CYBERFORCE: 2 Points WILDC.A.T.S.: 0 Points The sun burned directly overhead, a perfect stage for two solar titans. Apollo hovered thirty feet above the arena floor, his white and gold uniform glowing like a second sunrise. His hair shimmered in the light, and his jaw was set with calm confidence. Across from him floated Suprema of Youngblood. Her fists balled up and determination etched on her face. They collided mid-air. The impact cracked the sound barrier. Apollo drove Suprema downward in a streak of white light, smashing her through three layers of reinforced arena flooring. He followed with twin beams of heat vision that carved molten trenches across the stone. Suprema burst upward through the smoke. Her own eyes ignited. Twin red rays clashed with Apollo’s golden flare, the two energy beams exploded in between them. The bright explosion forced the crowd to shield their eyes. They broke apart and circled each other. She rushed him. Their fists met with a thunderclap that rattled the entire coliseum. Apollo hammered her with a rapid succession of strikes strong enough to level a city block. Suprema absorbed them and answered with a right hook that sent Apollo crashing into the arena wall. The sun intensified. Both of them felt it. Apollo rocketed forward like a spear of light. He tackled Suprema across the arena floor. He carved a trench several yards long before she reversed momentum and hurled him skyward. They chased each other through sunlight. Suprema caught his ankle. “You are very strong,” he admitted. Suprema tossed Apollo face first into the stone. He pulled himself free only to be struck by a brutal uppercut that launched him into the stratosphere. “You’re not stronger,” Suprema stated Before he could recover, she rocketed after him. They reached the edge of the atmosphere. Suprema twisted, gathering every ounce of strength, she wrapped her arms around Apollo and drove downward. They reentered the arena like a falling star. The impact flattened the central battlefield entirely. When the smoke cleared, Apollo lay embedded in molten stone. Suprema stood over him exhausted but eyes still glowing. Apollo tried to rise but he could not. “Suprema is victorious!” Lady Death proclaimed from their hovering stage. The arena erupted. “Another point to Youngblood,” she continued. “And the Authority suffers its first loss.” Her gaze shifted toward the distant figure of Supreme in the throes of battle against Prime of Ultraforce. “With the Authority’s momentum finally broken… the Brigade now has the opportunity to catch them in the standings.” She smiled wickedly. “If Supreme can topple that mountain of muscle known as Prime, we will have a tie at four points apiece for both teams.” Lady Death turned toward Vampirella for commentary, but she paused when she noticed Vampirella was not watching the scoreboard. Instead, her eyes were fixed elsewhere. Below them, their fellow hostess, Purgatori, clashed violently with Warrior Nun Areala. Steel of holy energy collided with immense strength and hellfire. Lady Death cleared her throat sharply. “My dear,” she said dryly, “as delightful as these interlopers’ desperate attempts at fifteen minutes of fame may be… we do still have a job.” Vampirella blinked, then refocused. “You’re right,” she replied smoothly. “Distractions aside, this final clash between Supreme and Prime, with the tournament’s fate hanging in the balance, is perhaps the best outcome we could have hoped for.” Lady Death nodded. “Their endurance alone makes me wonder if their fight will last forever Do you have a prediction?” Vampirella opened her mouth to answer, but was interrupted by Angela and Avengelyne as they flew closer to her and Lady Death “It is time for the second fight for the hostesses,” stated Angela. Avengelyne stepped forward. Her intense stare locked onto Vampirella. “I challenge you.” The crowd gasped. Avengelyne’s expression remained hardened. “You represent everything I despise. A demonic figure adored by foolish mortals. Humanity embracing darkness and calling it beauty.” She looked out at the crowd. “It was my distaste for such corruption that led to my exile from Heaven.” Vampirella arched an eyebrow. “Oh? Are you here because you are simply bitter about not being invited back?” Avengelyne’s grip tightened on her swords. “You know nothing about me.” Vampirella smirked lazily. “That goes both ways, darling. And I am insulted that you reduce me to a ‘simple demonic figure.’” Avengelyne tilted her head. “What would you prefer then? Just a vampire?” she asked. Vampirella placed a hand dramatically over her chest. “How dare you.” She paced slowly along the edge of the platform. “There are so many theories on what I actually am. Alien refugee from Drakulon. Created from the blood of Draculina. Supernatural construct. It’s been so long, and so many retcons later, I can’t even remember anymore.” Both Vampirella and Lady Death laughed. Avengelyne remained unmoved. “It doesn’t matter. In the end, you will be just another arrogant villain struck down.” Vampirella sighed. “My dear fallen angel, I am one of the biggest heroes around. I have slain demons, tyrants, cultists, mad gods, and worse.” Vampirella smiled sweetly and exchanged a glance with Lady Death. “But if you are determined to have your ass kicked and publicly embarrassed… I will happily oblige.” With that, Vampirella stepped off the floating stage. She glided downward like a crimson shadow. Mid-air, she slipped free of her elegant cocktail dress and let it flutter away. She landed in her traditional scarlet attire, confident, poised, and lethal. Avengelyne descended opposite her, both swords drawn, their edges hummed faintly with divine power. She smirked. “It’s so obvious,” said Avengelyne. “You’ve only remained popular this long because you strut around in a red sling-bikini.” Vampirella glanced deliberately at Avengelyne’s own revealing battle attire. “Jealous, are we?” Avengelyne’s expression darkened. “Not in the slightest.” Vampirella looked at her own fingernails as Avengelyne raised her blades. “I’m here to end this and put you down,” Avengelyne declared. From above, Lady Death leaned over to give a shout to Vampirella. “Give her hell, darling.” Vampirella’s seeming nonchalance was replaced with focus as she prepared herself to fight. Angela’s voice echoed through the arena. “Begin!

leroypowell3 Posted February 26 Read Aloud Posted February 26 I don't think Avengelyne is as strong as Vampirella but she's kind of designed to fight some like her even though Vampirella isn't a true vampire but an alien with vampire quilities.
Venom 2009 Posted February 27 Read Aloud Posted February 27 Looking at both women: 😍🥰😻❤️💓💘💞 Anyway, I'm giving my vote to Vampirella.
DSkillz Posted March 2 Read Aloud Posted March 2 Another good chapter to your '90's Extreme Team Tourney arc. The angelic chicks' disruption of this tourney continues! As for the match, after looking both women up, it appears to me that, unless Avengelyne is in her divine form, Vampirella is stronger and faster than her and has the better healing factor. If Avengelyne only has her super strength, I'm thinking Vampirella could probably outlast her.
