His gloves shimmer under the spotlights, and his warm-up routine looks more like a dance number than a stretch. Every step is synced to the thumping disco beat blasting through the speakers. He flashes his trademark grin, blowing a kiss to the audience. Then the music cuts. The lights dim. A low, ancient flute melody drifts through the arena—strange, hypnotic, and completely out of place. The ropes on the far side of the ring creak as something pushes through them. Hooves clack against the canvas. A wild mane of curls shakes loose. And with a mischievous bleat, a satyr leaps into the ring. Half-goat, half-man, all trouble. The crowd gasps as the satyr twirls his pan flute like a baton, prancing in circles with drunken confidence. His eyes gleam with the thrill of competition. Satyrs have always loved contests—music, dancing, wrestling, drinking—and tonight, apparently, boxing joins the list. Disco Kid tilts his sunglasses down, eyebrows raised. “Alright, funky forest fella,” he says, rolling his shoulders. “You wanna step into my ring? Then you better be ready to groove.” The satyr stomps a hoof, snorts, and taps out a taunting rhythm on his flute. The ropes vibrate. The air hums with ancient revelry. Even the referee hesitates, unsure if this counts as a sanctioned match or a mythological prank. But Disco Kid just laughs, bouncing side to side with perfect rhythm. “Let’s dance.” The bell rings. The crowd explodes. And under the blazing lights of the boxing ring, a disco-powered showman squares off against a wild, wine-soaked trickster of Greek legend—one fighting with footwork and flair, the other with primal rhythm and unpredictable ferocity. The party has officially begun.
