WHO SHALL LEAD?

The Undercity, a labyrinth of tunnels, rusted infrastructure, and communities forgotten by the wealthy elite above, is on the verge of revolt. Its people have the fire, the anger, and the need, but not the leader. With no one among their own who carries the mix of vision, strength, and charisma required to rally the masses, they look outward to legends of other cities and conflicts.

After weeks of searching, two names rise to the top: Barret Wallace of the Avalanche resistance in Midgar, and Sevika, the hardened enforcer of Zaun. Stories of their exploits ran like wildfire throughout the Undercity and the coincidental fact that both had lost one of their arms and replaced them with weapons only added to their mystique.

Below are their carefully constructed resumes, supported by testimonials, followed by the letters where each candidate challenges the other’s viability for the role once it was told to them that they were a finalist. It is up to you to decide who will lead the Undercity to rise up and fight back.

Cid Highwind (pilot and ally):

CANDIDATE RESUME 2: SEVIKA

Sevika.jpg.cca11b7a209af668ecbb6d5113297a42.jpg

Position Desired: Commander and Enforcer of Revolutionary Forces

Summary of Qualifications:

- Former top lieutenant in the Zaunite underworld, trusted right hand of Silco, one of the greatest revolutionaries in Zaun’s history.

- Master strategist in enforcing order and discipline among volatile factions.

- Veteran fighter with cybernetic enhancements, including a powerful mechanical arm capable of devastating combat maneuvers.

- Skilled at navigating political relationships between fractured groups, holding together alliances through intimidation, pragmatism, and respect.

- Ruthless yet practical: focused on results, willing to make hard decisions for the survival of her people.

Key Accomplishments:

Maintained discipline and control within Silco’s ranks, preventing implosion amidst infighting.

TESTIMONIALS:

Silco2_Arcane_Render.jpg.bfb3ba500163c4124e6165f429715c55.jpg

Silco (Zaunite leader):
“Sevika’s loyalty is forged in fire. She doesn’t follow blindly; she chooses who deserves her allegiance. When she enforces order, people listen. Without her, I wouldn’t have held Zaun together.”

Jinx.jpg.3a780687063597b99bb622f8decc977a.jpg

Jinx (ally and rival):

“Sevika? Yeah, she’s tough. Annoying, bossy, and sometimes a real pain in the ass. But no one gets people in line like she does. She can make a room full of killers shut up just by looking at ‘em.”

MadamMargot.jpg.6a7f25b0ae37e8ea7e9e60f2fd69f5a7.jpg

Madam Margot (Zaun Chem Baron)

“People only ever saw Sevika as Silco’s iron fist, but after his death, she proved there was more to her. She didn’t just keep the gangs in line, she earned enough respect to claim a seat at THE table. You don’t get onto Piltover’s council by swinging a sword arm; you get there by knowing when to swing and when to deal. Sevika showed she could adapt, that she could represent just as well as enforce. In Zaun, that’s rarer than gold.”

COUNTERPOINTS

Barret Wallace on Sevika:

“To the people of the Undercity,
I heard you’re considerin’ Sevika for this job. Lemme tell you somethin’. Leaders ain’t just about keepin’ folks in line with threats and fear. A leader’s gotta inspire! Sevika? She’s a bruiser, sure…damn good at takin’ orders, maybe givin’ a few…but her whole world’s been proppin’ up the dream of someone else. Silco’s shadow. You don’t just want someone who believes in the cause, you want a commander. If you follow her, you ain’t risin’ up, you’re just bendin’ the knee to another tyrant wearin’ a different face.”

—Barret Wallace

Sevika on Barret Wallace:

“To the so-called revolutionaries,
You’ve put Barret Wallace’s name forward. I know his type, loudmouths who mistake anger for leadership. Sure, he can shout about freedom until your ears bleed, but shouting doesn’t hold a city together. Passion burns out fast when the enemy crushes your supply lines and your people start starving. Barret’s heart is big, but it’s soft. He’s a dreamer. You don’t need dreams. You need someone who knows how to make hard choices and keep order when the mob turns restless. Leave the speeches to martyrs. If you want to win, you need someone like me.”

—Sevika
