Sorry about the delay.  Have been busy.  I'm continuing with my tournament.  For those of you just tuning in, a strange red vortex has struck the Omniverse, scattering some of the most powerful warriors alive into strange new lands.  The Death Star has appeared over one Earth, as Earth's military successfully captures a deluded Question bearing the one Ring in hopes of combatting Vader.  The dimension the Death Star hails is having it's own crisis, as the Wookies and the Predators join forces in a brutal alliance.  Most recently, the robot Ultron has subjected the Smurfs to his rule, plotting to strike out at the world he finds himself in.  Confusing?  Yes.  Now you are pretty much up speed.  Carry on.

Davis groaned, opening his eyes to find himself inside a plastic sphere.  His wrists and ankles were tied, and his body felt sore.  He remembered that he was on the Enterprise bridge, when a strange glow filled the room.  The next thing he knew, Davis was trapped in what appeared to be an oversized pinball.  He turned to his left to see 9 other members of Starfleet security in similar pinballs.

Suddenly a piercing laugh came over the speakers of the pinball.  "Had a nice nap, kiddies?" the voice said. "You are really going to need it."

Davis looked up through the top of his pinball, seeing nothing but a glass ceiling.  "Whose there?  What do you want with us?"

"So many questions," the voice said.  "Arcade's the name, murders the game.  Found you 10 bozos walking down Main Street, ripe for the picking.  Since their aren't that many super heroes running around, you red shirts will have to do."

Suddenly the pinballs and their passengers shot out of their positions and straight into a circular passage.  Just as everything went black, Davis heared Arcade say,  "Welcome to Murder World, kids, where no one gets out alive!"

OK:

Arcade: Has designed this Murder World to challenge the Red Shirts based on the tech they were carrying.  (Tricorders, med kit, and a phaser.)  Wins by killing off the Red Shirts.

Red Shirts: Each have a Tricorder, med kit, and a phaser.  Win by surviving Murder World and escaping.

Game ON!

Arcade is the King of the Silver Age Deathtraps, one of the few who's lasted up to the modern age relatively unchanged. So, up against such a professional I don't think that the Redshrits can do much against him. I mean, htey get injured in a Holodeck simulation of Jurassic Park wtih the safeties on!

The original Enterprise (where the Red-Shirted Ensings come from) doesn't have a holodeck.
