Various cosmetic updates on the way.

The splash page (Comicbookuniversebattles.com) has been heavily updated the last few days. And more updates are on the way.

Please let me know your thoughts as the updates come out as I won't know if you dislike what I'm doing of you don't tell me.

 

If you have any cosmetic ideas for the site please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks

 

 

Updates:

Battles in progress table now seperates battles by type, can be displayed as a 2x2 grid or single column. Users have the choice of hiding battle types. As of this moment it does not remember your options should leave the page. 

Featured battle graphic now displays a random active battle for suggested viewing - I will probably add author's name to the graphic later.

Top of page black can now hold up to 3 images for advertising events. 

 

Currently in process -

Featured member banner - pulls a random member profile and highlights them on the splash page.

Splash page now includes:

Featured battle - Displays a random active battle. This will hopefully let guests choose a match faster so they don't get overwhelmed.

Battles in Progress (updated) - No separates by match type - rumbles, rates, etc... it also gives you the choice to view as a single list or a  2x2 grid. It will remember your choices, you can even choose to hide match types from your view. 

On top of that, all matches now credit the author!

 

 

- I couldn't get the Featured member block to work just yet.

Can the Draft Records be a separate tab from the Regular Play Records once more?

I personally don't like that they're now a shared tab.

Not sure where to post this one. I remember there being a discussion forum for maintenence and bug issues, but I can't seem to find it

 

I am having trouble voting and rating. When I've tried voting it gives me this message - 

This match has ended. No further voting is possible.

When I've tried rating it just sends me to weird page

So, after the Vote/Rate gets fix, is there a way for guests to vote on matches again, or maybe see the number of votes before a match ends?

I recently looked into bringing back guests votes, it is not possible at this time. 

I can look into seeing vote numbers, but I can't promise it, the more integrated a feature the harder it is to change.

Instead of posting the vid link I pasted, the vid's title posted instead. There's been a very similar issue on GameFAQs for years as well, and the only way I could get around it there was to actually type out the link in the post, character by character.

I was wondering about this too, but I assumed it was an intentional change.

What I usually do is copy a link of a video from Youtube and paste it on WordPerfect. Then I copy the link from WordPerfect and paste it on the website, follow by hitting Enter. That’s how I get videos to come up on the site.
