January 2025 CBUB Flash Fiction Challenge

This Flash Fiction challenge has a maximum Word Count of 2500 words per match entry.

The match set-up must be 2500 words or less.  Use Word Count Tool to weigh your entry.

Theme:

You must use at least one character in the match that has something to do with new introductions.  And the match write-up must reference the new introduction in some capacity.

Examples:

Two thieves break into the same vault and meet for the very first time.
Two Heroes misinterpret each other as the villain of the story. 
Two competitive heroes are introduced to each other and their competitive nature makes things get chaotic.

Players must use two contenders (and only two) in a 1 vs. 1 match.

The two contenders can be anyone from any category of the CBUB Character Database, however these characters must be meeting for the very first time!

Players are free to add new characters to the CBUB Character Database for use in the Tournament matches.

 

Matches:

Players will create One Tournament match in the month of January with the above theme.  And only one.
Whoever enters the highest rated match wins.
