Chapter 48: Phase One: Age of the Titans Prt. 5

Within the Chimaera,

Thrawn gazed upon the screen with a cold and emotionless expression. As Kong and the Varan battled each other over the streets of London, he turned his head toward Eli Vanto. 

"Send in the Mega-Kaiju." Thrawn ordered without hesitation.

"What?" Lex asked while looking over at Thrawn.

"While this King Kong is distracted with the Varan, the Mega-Kaiju should be able to unleash a fatal blow against the Great Ape." Thrawn replied while turning his red eyes back to the screen. "Don't worry, Mr. Luthor. Phase One will soon reach its end."

"I am far from worried, Grand Admiral, but I was hoping that we would not completely wipe London from the face of the Earth." Luthor responded.

"There will still be a city after we send the surviving titans back to where they belong." Thrawn reassured him. "It is all part of the plan. The destruction of this city is an unfortunate but necessary event that will only lead to our overall objective. It will cause a massive blow to our enemies. One that they will prove to have lasting consequences once the Council officially declares war against them."

"What of the survivors of this..." Lex said before pausing. He glanced at the screen and waved his hand toward the horrific images that were shown. "... Phase One of yours?"

"There will be survivors. It would be foolish to underestimate the resilience and resolve of our enemies. The surviving leaders will still face Phase Two and Three of my plans. Even if there are some that manage to survive for the coming war, these phases will cause widespread casualties to their leadership. One that cannot be restored before we truly show them what we our capable of." Thrawn replied before turning back to the screen. "I am also aware of the plans that you have in place."

"My plans?" Lex asked with squinted eyes.

"After this event, countries around your world will be looking for new people to lead them." Thrawn said before pausing. "I am aware that you have individuals in place to take those positions."

Lex grinned before changing the subject. "Exactly how many more titans do you plan on unleashing on London?" Luthor asked while crossing his arms.

"There will be one more to close out this Phase." Thrawn said as he turned his red eyes toward Lex Luthor. "That will be a masterpiece indeed."

Shortly before,

As Jia ran outside of her school, the bright rays of the sun shined down against her face. For a moment, she felt blinded by the light. The girl closed her eyes only for a moment so that they could adjust to the sun. After slowly opening them, it appeared that she was somewhere else entirely. She was no longer surrounded by fellow classmates and buildings. She was not standing on a sidewalk or pavement. The young girl was out in a dense forest with trees as high as the sky. Her visions seemed as if they started to subside as she walked through this strange and mysterious forest. She still felt as if something was leading her. She felt as if it was leading her deeper into the woods. There was a soothing essence moving along a path that the young girl saw and started to follow. It was not threatening by any means; in fact, this essence felt rather peaceful. She looked over her surroundings and saw many forms of life moving alongside her. Creatures big and small followed this beautiful and peaceful essence. Soon, Jia saw something glowing up ahead. In her heart, she knew that this was the source of the visions. She knew that this is what brought her to this strange place. Rather than feel threatened by this mysterious mystical energy, the young girl reached out her hand. 

Deep in the Ocean, 

There was a disturbance in the balance of the natural order. The King of the Monsters had sensed it long before the titans arrived in the streets of London. Even before the monsters were unleashed upon England’s capital, the King of Destruction had faced off against threats to the world in preparation for what was to come. Soon after Gojira became aware of the kaiju attacks, he swam fast across the ocean floor. The Monster Who Ate a Star was going to come to the aid of the planet once again in a bid to face whatever threat had made itself known to this world. With incredibly speed, Godzilla inched closer toward the capital of the United Kingdom. Along the way, he sensed something above the surface of the sea. The Alpha Predator gritted his massive teeth as he turned his head upward toward the ocean’s surface. With unimaginable power, the powerful beast emerged from the sea.
 
An all-encompassing cry shattered the skies as Megaguirus let out a scream unlike any other. Wanting to battle the King of the Monsters for dominance, the Queen of the Meganulon was not prepared for Godzilla’s attack. The Alpha Predator overwhelmed the giant Queen and brought her down into the ocean’s deep. Despite her recent victory over the Giant Claw, she was no match for the King of the Monsters. She struggled and squirmed to escape from Godzilla’s grasp. The Mighty Titan was relentless as he pulled her down to the ocean floor. With a powerful surge of energy, Godzilla unleashed his atomic breath into the body of the Queen of the Meganulon. After destroying Megaguirus, Godzilla turned his gaze toward the direction of London. This was only the beginning as the threat against the natural order was still looming. Continuing his path toward the devastated city, Godzilla swam with an uncontrollable rage.
 
It was not long until he surfaced once again. Stepping out of his watery domain, Godzilla sauntered closer toward the war-torn streets of England’s capital. Smoke had covered the skies while sirens were blaring through the streets. Godzilla let out a roar that overpowered the blaring sirens. The roar echoed throughout the streets as he walked closer toward the city. His eyes caught a glimpse of his former rival battling it out with what appeared to be a giant reptile with horns along its back. Even though he still held a hatred for Kong, the giant ape earned the respect of the King of the Monsters.  Godzilla clenched his teeth as his eyes started to focus on the creature that was battling Kong. He was about to join in on the battle against the Varan before something else caught the attention of the Mighty Titan. Godzilla’s head started to move toward the streets of London. He saw the remains of Skar King and Gigan. The Alpha Titan’s eyes then fell upon the body of the cybernetic beast.
 
It became clear that there was more to this threat then he could have imagined. The threat to the natural order was growing with each passing moment. Godzilla felt another presence entering the city that caused him to turn his attention toward the west. The King of the Monsters saw a beast unlike anything he had seen before coming into his view. A massive beast that carried a hostility that threatened all in its path. This titan, this abomination let out a thunderous roar as it searched for prey. It soon became apparent that the beast found a target once the Mega-Kaiju had its eyes set on Kong. The Mighty Ape was still battling the Varan and was unable to see what was about to transpire. As the Mega-Kaiju prepared to charge toward the King of the Hollow Earth, Godzilla unleashed another deafening roar before charging toward this abomination. After hearing the roar, the Mega-Kaiju turned his attention toward Godzilla and shifted all his weight to battle the Alpha Titan.

Outside of London,

After breaking through the skies, Trapper saw that the smoke-filled streets of England's capitol. Ilene leaned closer to see the battle-torn city of London as well. Trapper's jaws dropped while Ilene's eyes widened. They could not believe what they were seeing. 

"Oh my..." Trapper said before going quiet. 

There was not much that they could say that had not already been said. London was in shambles. With her experiences working in Monarch, Ilene had seen all of this before but it did not make it any easier to witness. As they watched from the aircraft, their eyes soon turned to Kong battling the reptilian beast from the East. Trapper grinned while looking over the Mighty Ape battling the gliding beast.

"It looks like our boy is still standin'!" Trapper exclaimed before glancing over at Ilene.

Ilene's expression turned to shock as her dark brown eyes turned to the westside of the London landscape. "Oh my...." She muttered before losing the words that she was about to say.

"What? What is it?" Trapper asked as he turned his head. "Oh my...."

They watched as the King of the Monsters emerged from the ocean. Godzilla had Varan in his sights, but the Alpha Predator soon turned his attention to another monstrosity. A massive abomination that had come from the west.

"What is that?" Trapper asked with a stunned expression.

"That... That is not from here." Ilene replied. 

"Then, where the hell did it come from?" Trapper asked.

This takes place during the battle between Kong and the Varan. Thrawn has sent in the Mega-Kaiju in an effort to eliminate the distracted Kong. Little did he know, Godzilla had just arrived on the scene after sensing what was taking place. Godzilla decided to engage the Mega-Kaiju in battle to keep it away from Kong. 

Godzilla is the version from the Monsterverse. He is in the evolved form that was seen in Godzilla x Kong New Empire.

Mega-Kaiju is at full strength.

Mega-Kaiju is large so the big G is in for a fight.

Nice to see a match with Mega-Kaiju. Even if Mega-Kaiju is bigger, I don't think he has what it takes to take down the Big-G.
