CBUB Fantasy Draft - Season 14!

A couple of questions. When does the draft end?

Also, I like a lot of the ideas for this draft, such as using unused characters and matching the slots to categories etc and would join, but my knowledge of Anime is relatively limited and I can't think of a video game merchant. At least not one that is in the Database and I don't have a lot of luck trying to add characters.

So anybody got suggestions for those two slots?

Hey, @Twogunkid. The Wikpedia link to your Archer character is broken, at least on his profile page. I'm going to put him into a CP Rumble to see if it's the same case when Callisto posts his links for a match (and ergo, when UMPIRE posts them for a Draft matchup). Not sure if you'd mind making your case for Archer without the profile links, but I'm thinking the profile may have to eventually be deleted. 

Also, @ThePhenomenalOne, Mangaverse Doom is a comic book character. Sorry to say, the Fantasy Wizards can only be drafted through the Fantasy section of the Database.

I added Kecleon for videogame merchant. I just swapped out Naofume if you want him for your anime protag.

TBH I didn't think the draft was going to take this long. That's why I tried to throw a team together asap. I'm going to add some characters and would like to change some.

Just let me know when. But usually the drafts last 2 weeks, I just decided to add an additional week due to the special rules.

If it interests anyone, if you're struggling for a sorcerer or sorceress, I put in Elora Danan from Willow. Especially since she becomes a powerful sorceress by the end of the sequel series.

Your team has been pulled and no longer shows as approved, but your characters have not been denied, once you tell me which you wish to switch out I will deny them.

@RiotGear, I added Chocolina to the database. She is a merchant from the Final Fantasy 13 series, and I don't think she has been selected yet. I'm also not overly familiar with anime, at least not the ones with super powered protags, outside of DBZ, so I just googled.  Also if anyone is in search of lawyers, I had also added Rudy Baylor from the Rainmaker, and James Stamphill from Murder in the First. Two good court room dramas. Also added Eddie Guerrero for a potential wrestler spot, great on the mic, great in the ring, should be able to excel in whatever challenges IKA has lined up.

Draft rule change!

 

Due to the difficulty in the draft, there will be an immediate rule change to help balance out the picks. 

 

Previous rule: Characters must not have been used officially on the website prior to the draft.

 

Revised rule: Character must have been used 5 or less times on a rated or fantasy draft on the website previously. 

 

To help everyone who has already drafted, I will be returning all previously accepted teams to a non accepted state, the characters will be returned on request. 

All teams that had been previously accepted will still qualify if they wish to keep their team as is. 

All other rules remain. Please enjoy

I plan on putting one of each this weekend at some point, sorry I'm also packing to move this week as well - busy busy.

All teams  have been un approved and set to be ready to push characters back on request. 

To make things easier, for myself, I will also not approve teams this weekend and will only focus on characters that need to be declined. 

On Monday I will begin approving teams again. 
Please note, nobody else can choose characters you have selected, even if your team has not yet been approved. 

Declined characters will remain locked for three days.

Heh, this changes up the drafting strategy a bit. Interesting. 😄 

Believe it or not, though, I'm good with most of the profiles I've drafted so far.

Same with mine, though I am debating if I should switch Willow with Elora. On one hand, both are no slouches on magic but on the other hand, Elora is said to be a chosen one in the film and sequel series.

I added three more video game merchants for any one looking,

The Guardian of Metal from the game Brutal Legend, he is voiced by Ozzy Osbourne.

Volo from Pokemon Legends: Arceus. An important character to the game's story.

Rusty Slugger, from the game Rusty's Real Deal Baseball. Rusty and his game might not be familiar to you guys, unless you downloaded it from the Nintendo 3DS e-shop back in the day, or unlocked his trophy in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U, alternatively called Super Smash Bros. 4. Nevertheless, Rusty is a merchant and sells the player baseball video games in his store, requesting real life money in exchange for the games.... I know right, very early pay wall based content from Nintendo.

Although, I do want to change my choice of slasher villain back to Abigail or Pearl.

Damn it. Someone picked Abigail. At least thankfully, I picked my backup choice. But it's a real shame, I really wanted Abigail since she'd be a potential MVP like Nicole.
