IKA Posted October 7, 2024 Read Aloud Posted October 7, 2024 The CBUB Fantasy Draft: Season 14 Drafting begins March 28th, 2025 April 11th, 2025 CBUB Fantasy Teams is kind of like Fantasy Sports games. You draft a Team and they get thrown into matches for a "Season" which is typically several weeks. Draft Date: Coming Soon (Will be announced very soon) ------------------------------------------------------ Season 14 Special Rules: 1: The first 8 slots coincide with the 8 database Categories - The Characters MUST be selected from THAT category! 2: Selected Characters must have been used 5 or less times total in any Rated or Fantasy Draft match before. ----------------------------------------------------------- First I would like to give a shoutout to @Culwych1 who has created a vast majority of the images we will be using during this season! Slot 1: The Comic Book Leader This is a a leader who can lead their team a victory regardless of it is a battle, or through diplomacy. Morales will be challenged and tough calls will have to be made. Choose Wisely! Examples: Captain America Cyclops Batman Superman Example challenge: Slot 2: The Horror Slasher This is evil incarnate - committing the most heinous of acts. These unforgivable monsters will be challenged to do what they do best in unique ways. Examples: Michael Meyers Jason Vorhees Ghostface Jigsaw Example Challenge: Slot 3: The Pop Culture Lawyer We may not always agree with them, but when they argue, the world listens! Examples: Saul Goodman Harvey Spectre Jackie Chiles Vincint Gambini Example Challenge: Slot 4: The Anime Overpowered Protagonist Regardless if it's the awesome transformations, the yelling their attacks in advance, or talknojutsu we love them all the same! Examples: Rimiru Tempest Son Goku Saitama Rudeus Example Challenge: Slot 5: The Science Fiction Explorer Exploring the unknown universe, or hunting for treasures unbound. Examples: Han Solo Captain Kirk Jake Sully Ellen Ripley Example Challenge: Slot 6: The Fantasy Wizard Magic, Alchemy, Cool robes, and long beards. Examples: Gandalf Harry Potter Merlin Rincewind Example challenge: Slot 7: The Video Game Merchant What are you buying? They probably have it in stock. Examples: Drebin 893 The Merchant: Resident Evil 4 Porkrind Tom Nook Example Challenge: Slot 8: The Cartoon Gag Character Toons unbound - Toon force, and laugh tracks on the ready! Examples Bugs Bunny Mickey Mouse Tom Cat Wile E. Coyote Example Challenge: Slot 9: The Professional Wrestler Regardless if it's from in ring action, or the inspiring promos they demand your attention. From Elbow drops to pipe bombs these wrestlers are going to be put through the paces. Examples: Stone Cold Steve Austin HHH Junkyard Dog Doink the Clown Slot 10: The Chef You will eat what they cook, and you will like it! Examples: Gordon Ramsey Remy Spongebob Squarepants Chef Example Challenge: 2 1

JohnnyChany Posted March 1 Read Aloud Posted March 1 Question about the Wizard Slot. There are several characters in the Fantasy Database that would fit the criteria of not being used and being called a wizard, but they don't follow the merlin archetype. Would they still be usable?

A lot of the categories I either am not feeling or just really don't like-- such as the wrestling one. I don't watch WWE, AEW, TNA. I only know ECW and early CZW. But other than that, I don't like wrestling. Toons? I don't see the issue of toons being resolved because they're just SO BROKEN against most other representations of fictions. Only a toon can defeat a toon, unless Dip is involved. Video game merchants? Aside from the girls from Soul Calibur III, I don't know any nor am I interested. I'm just not feeling the slots.
