Charles Exavier rolls in from the shadows, he plays footage of the sucess of the attack force they sent to take out Thanos who has the Infinity Gauntlet.

 

Professor X: ENOUGH! FROM BOTH OF YOU! I cant pick up there signals, i think, i think, NO....NOOOO!!!! HES KILLED THEM ALL!!!!

 

Lex Luthor: IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME. you sent the JLA and Avengers into a massacre!!

 

Galactus:  He had no way of knowing they would be butchered the way they were bald one...

Professor X: thats enough! Thanos, that mad man, took control of the Infinity Gauntlet, hes killed everything in the universe and due to the merger of worlds both the spectre and tribunal cancel each other out and are rendered powerless to intervene. which basically means one thing, we must kill him.

 

Lex Luthor: its easier said than done, your attack force just proved that, now we have nothing against him.

Lex Luthor: No they cant.......but i have an idea. Professor see if you can transport the following items from the dead superheros who attacked Thanos earlier.

 

The list reads: The hammer of thor, the ring of green lantern, the shield of captain america

 

Professor X works with Galactus and brings the items to them.

 

The Silver Surfer gets off his board and Precrisis superman steps onto it. He holds the Hammer of  Thor in his right hand,

wears the ring of the green lantern in his left hand and holds the shield of captain america there also. Every1 there gets blown away by the sheer level of power he is giving off. Even  a weakenedGalactus rises from his chair to aknowlledge the amount of power this being posesses.

 

Galactus: Maybe there is hope left....

 

He sets out to find and kill Thanos who is on Earth.

with all those things plus the power I dont see Thanos winning cause the power cosmic, amped by Odin power, amped with a green lantern ring, amped with the power of Mjolnir, the speed from Silver Surfers board, and impenetrable shield, plus the power of pre crisis superman wins. Hands down!

You people are crazy if you think Superman has any hope. Just think about what makes up the Infinite Gauntlet.

 

1. Mind Gem- Allows control over the Universe's collected conscience.

2. Time Gem- Granst wielder absolute control of time stream.

3. Soul Gem- Allows user entrance and control over soul world. Allows full control over souls.

4. Power Gem- Gives unlimited energy to any attribute.

5. Reality Gem- Full control over reality.

 

Put them all together, and you're a freaking god.

 

And no, Thanos is not cocky. He's a super genuis who already killed half the Universe on a whim. Not to mention that he's beaten Death, and Infinity while using the IG.

The Power Gem as stated in Marvel Mans post can use all forms of energy at an unlimited level. So he can do that as well and more.
