Match 8438 Superman vs. Son Goku

Set Up-Inter-Dimensional ArenaStory-Superman and Goku are taken from their universe and are put into a inter-dimensional arena where they have to fight until one one man is left standing. Superman and Goku are confused and try to look for a way out. Superman and Goku hear the crowd go back and forth chanting their names and look at each other. The announcer approaches both men with his security.Announcer-Look i know that this is all new to you but it will all be worth it in the end.Superman-Like whatAnnouncer-Bragging rights.Goku-What do you mean bragging rights have to do with this?Announcer-Look this is a fight that people have been wanting to see for years don't you get it i mean think about it you guys two of the most powerful beings in both of your respective universes and finally we get to see you to clash one on one.Superman-So you want to see me and um...what's your name again?Goku-Its gokuSuperman-Thanks but back to what i was saying you want me and goku to beat the holy hell of each other for your enjoyment and the fans enjoyment. Thank you but no thank you.Goku-Hang on a sec superman I mean this is a fight that people have waiting to see and me and you can finally give them what they want. Well, he does have a point. Although sarcastically talking to Methos is a bad thing to do.

Instant Speed is faster than Light Speed.

But Light Speed is most convenient in a fight.

Sure Goku can pop-up behind Supes,

But Supes can just fly away.

You can't speed Blitz if you can only teleport.

With Light Speed, your whole body moves fast, ( Allowing fast punches,knees , Kicks)

With IT or TELEPORTING, you just like disappear and appear, you can't speed Blitz, because you can't move your arms that fast.

That all being said, Superman is more or less equal to a Super Sayian 2 Goku, when he goes all out ( Superman goes all out,not Goku)

So if Goku can go Super Sayian 3, which he can, he will win.

Superman wins. His heat vision would do tremendous damage to Goku. Supes would crush him in a fist fight with what I believe to be superior strength and speed. Superman could beat him within an inch of his death and Goku wouldn't even know. Also, what form of Superman is this? And for those that want to argue Goku is stronger, Goku cannot lift 200 quintillion tons with one arm.

Durability Ill give to Supes by a little, people say DBZ characters dont have good durability but I say look at Frieza, he was cut in half, then survived a planet blowing up. What Goku can do to make up for it tho, is IT to get a senzu bean, or see Dende and have him heal him (dont forget a saiyans power increases tenfold when badly hurt then healed)

 

Energy projection goes to Goku, granted the heat vision is hot as the sun, Supes is going to have to hit Goku first, itll be hard for Goku to tag Supes, but an IT kamehameha will be extremely difficult to dodge. Also Goku has the trusty Solar Flare which will blind Supes, the Destructo Disc is something Supes will do well to avoid. Krillin would have killed Nappa with it if he didnt move, and Nappa was 10 times stronger then Krillin, so that shows how strong the Destructo Disc is.

 

Both these guys have a lot of experience, so I think they are even there. Slight edge to Goku cuz he is always finding a way to beat the person that is stronger then him, by himself where as Supes gets help from the League.

 

This fight can go either way, as alll Goku vs Superman matches go, but it seems Im the only one will make a case for Goku, so with his various techniques I think that is the x factor then can get him the win.

I want goku to win and you made a great argument but if you look at the battles between supes and goku you will see goku has won more and you will vote for supes out of pity.

I thought that the Kaioken was assumed to be in effect all the time after his fight with Frieza. Or that it stopped being relevent above a certain power level

It's just the two of them in the match. Almost always that implies no outside interference.

Fighting Skills: Goku, no doubt about it.

 

Energy Projection: In terms of pure damage, it goes to Goku, some of his high-end techniques can do a lot more damage than Superman's Heat Vision, however, Superman's Heat Vision is a lot harder to dodge, simply because, unlike the various DBZ moves, there is no warning.

 

Strength: at SS3 and above, it goes to Goku, at SS2 and down it goes to Superman.

 

Durability: I'll have to, tentatively, say. Definitely Superman. Although, if you can find some impressive durability feats for Goku, I'm willing to be persuaded. But, if you read the Goku vs. Frieza fight in the Manga, towards the end, Goku would have died if he had been on the planet when it exploded. Granted, at that point he's only a regular Super Saiyan, but that is still so far below Superman's durability that it's not even funny.

 

Speed: Now, this is where Superman really wins(in this match). A lot of people say that, since Goku has the Instant Transmission technique, he's obviously faster. However, what people are forgetting, is that there is a difference between Traveling speed and Movement speed.

 

Traveling Speed, is how fast you can get from point A to point B. and in this, Goku's IT is definitely faster.

 

Movement speed, is how fast you can move your hands, feet, etc. how fast you can throw a punch, deflect an attack etc. etc. etc. and this is where Superman really wins the match. Because Superman's Movement speed, is the same as his Traveling speed(several times the speed of light), unlike Goku, whose Movement speed is far slower than his Traveling speed.

 

If we ignore the IT for a moment, there is only one DBZ canon character who is capable of moving Faster than Light and that is Vegito.

 

Now, since Superman is capable of moving and reacting, so much faster than Goku that it's not even funny. Goku is never going to land a hit on him, simply because, Goku is literally moving in slow motion to the Kryptonian. At SS3, Goku is stronger, yes, he is possibly more durable, he can deal more damage(through energy attacks), but despite all this, Superman wins because of one simple thing. You can't beat what you can't hit.

About the only DBZ character capable of moving at Light Speed is Vegito at higher levels. Superman is capable of moving and reacting at lightspeed and beyond.

 

SS3 Goku is not.

In a fight I have never seen superman disappear and reappear behind his opponent before they can do anything.
